Next Week, Mario & Sonic Rio 2016 Is Going To Be Removed From The 3DS & Wii U eShop

If you plan to buy a digital copy of Mario & Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, you don’t have much time left. Nintendo will be removing the game from the Nintendo 3DS and Wii U eShop on December 27th at 10:00am Japan Standard Time. On the East coast of the US, this would be 8:00pm on December 26th. There was no reason given for the removal of the game.

    1. I doubt it the license won’t be remove in the while since South Korea Olympics are coming and Nintendo plans to do it big since they showed up at the last Olympics and even had a Mario commercial with it there’s probably just no explanation to why they remove it they did it before but I never seen them do it to a spinoff game for real so this is a first time although I did hear this title did poorly from last titles the last few ones were actually good I enjoyed some of the dream events and the lastest installment is the most lack luster one of them all along with the first one the story is ok but most mini games just limited you to certain characters and stuff the 3ds one is real bad

The Wii had the Donkey Kong Country games removed from it’s virtual console during it’s last years of support, so this seems like a repeat of that situation to me.
