Pokemon developer Game Freak kindly shared a Happy New Year message in the latest edition of Japanese publication Weekly Famitsu. The message from Kazumasa Iwao said the following to Pokemon fans:
“Happy New Year. In 2017 we were able to release Pokemon Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon, and we express our deep gratitude to everyone who has been playing it. In 2018 we will still continue to hype up Pokemon, so please look forward to it.”
Either it’s Gen 8, Pokemon Stadium 3, Pokemon Colosseum 3, yet another Gen I remake, or another port of Sun/Moon for Switch.
Not hyped.
Or it’ll be a Gen 4 remake.
With Gen 5 since both share the same core design but different locale.
No buy.I already played Gen IV (and lost my data. PBR is the only remnant of my Gen IV Pokemon left.
A gen 4 remake with the ability to catch Darkrai in a post game story, similar to to the Ruby/Sapphire remakes, would be nice. I got Cresselia, Darkrai’s counterpart, in a dusk ball and it’d be nice to catch Darkrai in a dusk ball, too. (Not to mention I’m not really feeling the Darkrai from that mythical Pokemon giveaway they were doing back in 2016… (Who was the asshole that decided all the Pokemon being given away in that event would be max level 100!?))
I mean, in terms of show, is the gen 7 almost done. If so, gen 8 is definitely coming
Want another Pokemon XD. That would be good!
What’s so funny? :P
No, Pokémon X D is the name of the game on GameCube system.
I know it looks like the person is laughing!
Yeah, I know. Just messing around.

Gen 8. I know this. But we won’t see it until 2019 at best.

I’m not going to Bank on a Switch Pokemon game coming out next year. If we’re lucky we’ll get it during the Autumn.
Just add Porygon’s, insta “Hype”.
Introducing the next mainline entries on the Switch..
Pokemon Lit & Pokemon Fam
How about Pokemon Ice and Pokémon Steel? Or Pokémon Blaze and Pokémon Wave?
I care not how long they take to develop the games, as long as they end up being amazing.
Zelda Breath of the Wild taught me that.
I can’t wait to see what they have next.
Evolutions for Farfetchd and Dunsparse please
