Nintendo has briefly shared its plans for 2018 with a Japanese newspaper and it seems that the emphasis for the new year is providing unique experiences with the technology in the Switch controllers – the Joy-Cons. The company says that it plans to make new gameplay experiences which utilise the HD Rumble and motion detection cameras from the Joy-Cons. We shall have to wait and see what they have in store for us.

Thanks to Nintendo First Order Reaver for the news tip!
COOL
This is cool.
When are we going to get internet browser and Netflix?
2018
The Reaver has an uncle that works at Nintendo. :p
No but I and Nintendo talk sometimes
Just let them come naturally, dont force them or youll end up with StarFox Zero again.
Underrated game. Just my personal opinion
Some people like turds.
I personally LOVE eternal eyes for the PS1, and that game is by no means a great game.
Awesome.
Please don’t alienate gamers. Thank you.
Something like a new Warioware could be cool. Don’t force this into mainline games that don’t need motion controls and such gimmicks.
WarioWare Switch would be great. That’s what 1, 2, Switch should have been.
That’s what I like to hear.
SKYWARD SWORD!!
I hate motion controls. I think if they are done minimally, like in the new Mario or Zelda, it can be a great compliment to a standard controller. The only motion based games I like are driving games like Mario kart, with the option to turn them off.
As long as motion controls are optional this time around, I’m cool with this. I’d even use motion controls for some games if they aren’t forced & badly integrated, like in Star Fox Zero. (Of course, it’d be nice if they made some better Joy-Con Straps, or thicker Joy-Cons, because they aren’t very comfortable in my hands for long periods of time.)
I’m still waiting for an enjoyable tennis game, the perfect companion for Joy-Cons. It’s incredible that almost a year passed and no one made it. In the eighties tennis games were so common, and we had not rackets to play them with. Meh.
||Mario Tennis is in development…||
Good, hope to see it in 2018. Hope it has good gameplay, latest entry in the serie has not been received so well.
The Joycon motion controls are actually amazing so I hope we get some cool stuff, including a Skyward Sword rerelease.
An HD remake of Skyward Sword, like what they did with Wind Waker, would be great as they can improve and/or get rid of the things in the game that annoyed some people about it.
Was Senran Kagura not enough HD rumble action for the rest of the console generation?
No. No it’s not. (Still waiting for a Zelda game that uses HD Rumble! The next Metroid better use HD Rumble, too, or there will be hell to pay!)
