Dark Souls Remastered On Nintendo Switch Will Be 1080p 30fps When Docked

We found out today that the rumours were true and that Dark Souls Remastered is heading to the Nintendo Switch in May. The official press release for the game states that the challenging but rewarding title will be 1080p and 30fps when docked on the Nintendo Switch. The company hasn’t stated resolution and frame rate when in handheld mode, but no doubt we will find out in due course.

“Experience the rich world of DARK SOULS in upscaled 4K resolution with 60FPS when playing on a PlayStation 4 Pro system, Xbox One X, and PC. Also, 1080p resolution with 30FPS is available when playing the game on Nintendo Switch with its TV mode.”

    1. It’s not that’s it’s just an issue, it’s a better way of playing objectively :P XP So it would be preferable to have that option. I haven’t played the games yet cuz I’m been occupied with Monster Hunter since 2004. Don’t go “it’s not the same type of game” on me now folks xD

      1. I haven’t played monster hunter but I’m curious about how do have been occupied in the monster hunter games since 2004. Are they really long games? By the way I’ve played Final Fantasy Explorers which my cousin say it has some similarities with MH.

      2. I see. Hope you can catch up with the Switch games. I haven’t catch up because of money issues. I have Zelda Breath of the Wild but not the console :(

        1. Damn… Sorry to hear. I know how that is and my brother got it the same way too. I’m paying for stuff for him, and I wish I could do the same for more people… gaming is an important part of my life, and it hurts me to see others can’t play.

  1. And for some dumbass reason, other 3rd parties couldn’t achieve 1080p on Switch before? Hey Sega, someone just schooled your ass on how to Port games at full potential.

    1. Judging from how Switch is so weak, it can’t run a PS3 remaster in 60FPS while all other consoles (even last gen) can run, pretty sure resolution had to drop in favor of FPS. They should’ve done that for this remaster.

      1. You say that and yet, not even the base PS4/XB1 can run it at that rate. Why you think both consoles HAD to be updated TWICE IN 3 YEARS? Don’t even go there with the weak console argument because those two compare to PC are weak as shit as well.

  2. Would be cool if they did Switch exclusive stuff, like some boss fight, not just another lame ass crate containing more Link swag.
Acid trip to a dark Mushroom Kingdom with dark Bowser (or skeleton Bowser) as a boss would be great.
