    1. I think it is more likely Virtual Console.

But, I suspect in 2-3 years we will get a Switch Pro and Switch Mini.

As the technology will have matured, they can fit a better battery and 1080p screen for the Pro, so that it matches the TV mode (with any extra powered ram/graphics card etc if needed).

A mini that is designed for Kids, a cheaper model by having no dock, that doesn’t have detachable controllers, better battery but same specs, and that is designed for only handheld, unless you buy a dock. This will keep the cost down, and allow them to still target the handheld market if they do not aim to make a 3DS successor.

The problem I see with ditching permanent handhelds, is the size and cost. The Switch still isn’t as portable as the 3DS, and a mini would help with that.
The Pro would need to meet TV mode specs though, and not split the market like the New 3DS does. In my opinion that would be bad.

  1. Nintendo First Order Commander Quadraxis

    ||Ridleyslayer, a Switch Mini would neglect the second intended group based on your argument…||

    1. Did anybody notice animal crossing dev retweeted the post something is fishy here, last time dev retweeted and replied to post we got games in the in mini direct base from them and I’m sure the rest will be announcing there’s in the next direct hopefully animal crossing has something to do with this

  2. The kid part thrown in there makes in a hard call. I’m not to hype for this I think it’ll end up being a Switch mini or maybe some new joycons.

  3. I’ll be thoroughly surprised if it’s a Switch Mini this early in the game. Makes no sense to crank out another SKU when this one is on fire and they are still making marginal profit-per-unit on it. I expect the first revision no earlier than 2019.

This year, they’ll have reduced development costs enough to do a $250 Switch bundle for Christmas.
