At long last, NPD has released the sales results for the last month of 2017. We’ve already reported how Nintendo hardware did, but there is still the matter of software sales. The good news is that Nintendo software had another successful month. Super Mario Odyssey, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and more are still doing very well in NPD’s overall charts. In fact, Super Mario Odyssey is at #3, even though the game has been out for a few months now. Nintendo also had three games show up in NPD’s best-selling games of 2017, including Zelda: Breath Of The Wild. You can see the software data down below.

Battlefront had the biggest consumer backlash I think I’ve seen in video games, hit all sorts of non-gaming news media, was the most commented post on Reddit if I recall, and people still bought it up. I guess having a big bad publisher treat you like crap and spit on you is just their kink.
Products aren’t worth what you say they’re worth. They’re worth what people are willing to pay for them. Hardcore gamers are just showing that they legitimately don’t have any standards. Yes, they will pay any amount and put up with anything.

Yeah. It makes even someone like me wonder “why bother trying to fight against such bullshit practices when a company still make a killing in sales.” At this point, it feels like some of us are giving ourselves less options for games for no reason at all since we don’t make a dent, anyway. Welp! As Jar Jar Binks would put it… My give up! Time to just buy the games you can enjoy & ignore any bullshit that comes with them and just not buy it. Just gotta learn some self control & fight off the urge to buy the next shiny bit of bullshit DLC. That or continue missing out on possibly the occasional good games from EA, etc because “mah principles!” :/ The world is already going to hell. Might as well just enjoy the ride while it lasts. lol

The fact that I’m still seeing Not Battlefront 2 on the top list is fucking disturbing enough. EA fans are the biggest fucking morons in all video gaming.
Very sad to see battlefront 2 still end up at no. 2 despite everything. Most of these sales will have come from people who had no idea of the loot crate situation and just blindly bought it because it’s star wars but I’d hoped all the issues would have filtered through to the mainstream more than this.
How old is GTA 5? It seems those sells are always up and never dive.
