Hotel Transylvania Heading To The Nintendo Switch

Get ready to cast away on a spooktacular adventure! In anticipation of this summer’s release of Hotel Transylvania 3, worldwide video game publisher Outright Games is proud to announce new games for consoles and PCs based on Sony Pictures Animation’s hit Hotel Transylvania films.

In the game, which picks up where Hotel Transylvania 3 leaves off, Drac’s Pack land themselves into hot water yet again—washed overboard and lost on mysterious islands. Players will rescue their favorite monster friends from fearsome enemies, discover lovable new allies with amazing abilities, and push their puzzle-solving skills to the limit to find their friends and the magic compass needed to get back to Hotel Transylvania.

Terry Malham, CEO of Outright Games, states, “As a family business, we set out to create high quality games that families can enjoy. We know that this collaboration with Sony Pictures Animation, combined with our expertise at fantastic family entertainment, will mean we can bring this franchise to life in the form of a fun game for players everywhere.”

“It is an exciting collaboration between our two companies,” says Jamie Stevens, EVP Worldwide Consumer Products at Sony, “We are dedicated to providing enjoyable and memorable experiences to families around the world, and by working together, I truly believe that we can do that in the form of this game.”

The Hotel Transylvania game will release in Summer 2018 on PS4, Xbox One, Switch and PC.

  1. Nice! Would like to see some gameplay now to get an idea of what the gameplay is going to be like. For now though I’m looking forward to the release of this.

    1. Way I see it is there is something for everyone. You might not like it but someone else might enjoy this game completely.

Look at Nintendo Labo. A lot of people would call it shovel ware but there are also a lot of people who are excited for it’s release including myself.

      1. Nintendo Labo is a clear stike of brilliant innovation, put forth with a “toy” aspect in mind. New and interesting, simply put.

Animated movies’ game adaptations however are a different story altogether; and they were notorious for how low they put their bar during the Wii Era.

Although you might be right that there’s a possibility (albeit statistically slim) that this specific game is not a bad one, I will not hold my breath.
But if it is indeed bad, they will have to go throug me before there is a second one…

  2. Infinite Kalas X3, The Sonyendo King

Ew. Video games based on movies haven’t been good since the SNES era with games like The Pagemaster, The Lion King, Aladdin. After that gen, movie based video games have been mostly worst to mediocre at best. So I’ll pass.
