Gallery: Nintendo Released Graphs That Showcase The Switch’s First Year Of Sales

We already knew that the Nintendo Switch has sold nearly 15,000,000 units. We also know that the console has been very successful worldwide, especially in North America. However, Nintendo took a moment in their financial results meeting to elaborate more on the sales data. The company shared three different graphs showing the Switch’s sell-through in North America, Europe and Japan. All three regions experienced success, and Nintendo saw a boost in sales during the holiday season.

The graphs contain first-year data for the Wii and Wii U. Nintendo noted that the releasing timing is different. The Wii and Wii U released during the holiday season, and the Switch released in March. Nevertheless, the graphs really showcase just how much the Switch is match the sales of the Wii, sometimes surpassing them completely. We’ve included all three charts in a gallery down below.

  1. The Switch lacks what changed our lives on the Wii U, you know what I mean, a place to share our gaming experiences with the world, an easy way of finding people to be friends with, a way to talk directly to your friends, a way for us to ask for help in games, and a way for Game Developers to hear from us about our thoughts.

    1. In other words, “blah blah blah. I think the Switch is good”. You’re like some Sonic fans defending the shit out of 2006, Lost World and Forces. lol

  2. As stated before, I won’t be getting my hands on a Switch myself until the Next Official Mario Kart game for it with 16 NEW Nitro and Retro Tracks for it is announced to be coming, something we’ve been lucky to see on each and every Nintendo System that continues to amaze us.
