More possible information regarding the long-awaited Metroid Prime 4 on the Nintendo Switch has surfaced. The game could feature an online component according to a LinkedIn page from one of the developers. It wouldn’t be too far-fetched to imagine that the game will have some form of online multiplayer in this day and age, but we shall have to wait and see.

It truly was a mistake to make FF and putting that minigame which only made things worse than what they already were in 2015.
This would be ace, but let’s just concentrate on a deep immersive single player adventure and then dlc multiplayer. ( this is more likely because it would make more money for the title.)

Metroid doesn’t really need multiplayer but as long as it doesn’t detract from the main single player experience I don’t mind. This could just be some sort of high score leaderboards though

Metroid Prime hunters had only one good thing going for it, that was the online multiplayer. Tbf I would wholly welcome a decent online like in hunters, cause the story will finish in 4 at some point and I love my replay value.

Yes. This sounds very legit. I believe something that gets underestimated is the fact that Nintendo will have a paid online service sometimes this year and needs as much content as possible for that. So expect more stuff like this happening and maybe a quite big focus on online at the upcoming E3.

Funny. The game felt big enough and remarkably worked as intended for only 2 years of development. I guess it’s because of the “bleak” design that’s lacking diversity, people complained about it but isn’t that the point of the game located on a planet that just got impacted by the Phazon meteor and then split into two dimensional rifts? Of course the planet is suppose to look damaged and near lifeless since the Ing (your dark buddies that got wrecked to shit by my favorite Samus Aran) we’re wasting everything. I could care less about the multiplayer and that’s the thing. It’s just another mode that didn’t cause any harm or foul on Prime 2. What did bother me about Prime 2 was the ammo system for Beams..ammo for energy weapons…what the fuck? Also, FUCK THE BOOST AND SPIDER GUARDIANS TO HELL!

If this game has Hunters level of multiplayer, then it might cause the single player to be lacking. I’d get a smaller studio to work on the multiplayer aspect so that the crappy, unskilled developers at Bandai can focus all their attention to making a good single player experience.

I mean I didn’t mind playing the Metroid Prime 2 Echos multiplayer with my friends and family, it was acutally pretty fun and creative. It was awesome to see who was able to control Samus the best. And knowing that aiming isnt an issue since its lock on. It will technically be based off of movement and finger trigger.
