Nintendo has confirmed on the Japanese support website that the recent Nintendo Switch bug which has caused day-one titles to have lost users play times will be fixed with an update. To reassure users, it says that play time hasn’t been lost. Once the update arrives full play data will be restored.

Of course they will do it… After a direct
Asap is the better answer.
Not really a huge deal though but it’s coming.
Not a huge deal at all, but to think that it can wait after a direct is abit dunce.
Because people just discovered the bug so the fix will have to come later or postpone the next update to include the fix.
They can include a fix before their intended next update too.
Or temporarily delay it and fix a seemingly patchable bug which shouldn’t take long.
Why delay it when a patch can be made earlier?
Because 1. Recent discovery and 2. If there is an update coming and they want to patch this little issue, they can push back the date to patch it quick.
There is no reason to push back the date. Not everyone is working on one update at the same time.
Good.

Good. Now we can wait.
But will we be getting our previous playtimes back though?
I think my Breath of the Wild playtime might be erased as we speak and I’m worried about forgetting how long I played it.
Now why would save data be lost, ………Nintendo?
