Phil Spencer Is Still Cool About Letting Banjo And Kazooie Appear In Super Smash Bros Switch

Phil Spencer, the head of Xbox, has said on Twitter that he’s still absolutely fine about having Banjo and Kazooie possibly appear in Super Smash Bros on the Nintendo Switch. Spencer was asked by a fan whether there’s a chance he’s still willing for the duo to appear in the next instalment of Super Smash Bros to which he replied, “Yep”

    1. You don’t seem to know what First Party Developer is, do you?

In the video game industry, a first-party developer is a developer who is part of a company that actually manufactures a video game console. First-party developers may either use the name of the company itself (like Nintendo), or have a specific division name (like Sony’s Polyphony Digital).

  1. I see the strategy here, put him in ssbs make him relevant and popular again then release a banjo&Kazooie for Xbox, and watch the money fly in
Just give him back to Nintendo Microsoft, they can do so much more with him…

  2. I’d say it’s most unlikely that they would be on the game, however, I said the same thing about Pacman and Clown Car Bowser Jr. Bayonetta was grom an M rated game and Cloud never even appeared on a Nintendo console before Smash. So anythings possible.

  3. I’m all for Banjo and Kazooie in Smash, but at this point, I’d rather have Rare Replay on the Switch., with all the Xbox games swapped out for Donkey Kong and Star Fox Adventures. The demand for a Wii U release was overwhelming. Microsoft and Nintendo were down with it, but it was Rare who said they wouldn’t do it.

    1. I agree with you Collector. If Cloud is in Smash without having a game in Nintendo consoles, then Banjo & Kazooie can be in Smash because it had two games for Nintendo 64.

    1. Banjo & Kazooie started at Nintendo, idiot. They’re from Rare, but are a huge part of the N64’s history! SO THEY DESERVE IT FAR MORE THAN THAT FOUR EYED UGLY EXCUSE OF A WITCH! Bayonetta is a god killer. Pfft, LIKE TO SEE HER FACE MASTERED ULTRA INSTINCT GOKU! She’d never stand a chance!
