It’s Wednesday which means it is time to find out how the various software releases and video game hardware have performed in Japan. The team at Japanese sales tracking firm Media Create says that the Nintendo Switch sold an impressive 54K which means it easily outsold Sony’s PlayStation 4 which only sold 22K. The best-selling video game was Kirby Star Allies, which again, easily outsold the competition this week.

Switch is back to stay and dominate baby hell yeah
This is it nintendo takes the lead for sure
I can’t imagine what’s like to be the microsoft selling team in Japan… Something like “hey guys bring the best bottle we got, we made another 100 xbox shipment this week!!” but hey, there’s a reason why they haven’t stop trying.
People in Japan buys xbot for see movies
Now, imagine that you have an Xbox One X to see movies… That’s sad.
It seems Japan is the fastest to lose interest in the 3DS.
Anyone know what the first full year sales for Switch are? Or is it a bit early for those numbers.
They will probably come out in around a months time when Nintendo release their full fiscal earnings for the year which ends 31st March
Wow! I just can’t believe switch pound PS4. It seems switch is dominating.
Nintendo look! Releasing new games every month makes you richer! Do it.
Still third parties games sell less than on competitive platforms, this should make Switch less attractive for them. Certainly not their preferred platform.
“Nintendo look! Releasing new games every month makes you richer! Do it.”
That’s how we got the video game crash of 1982.
Nope. In 1983 videogames were s*** (many bugged and unplayable), that’s why the industry crashed. And there were too many consoles, not too many games. It recovered sharply with the NES, that had a vast collection of games. It launched with 17 games! Second year 19!
