Loading times are not the only thing that has been changed in the Nintendo Switch version of Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze. Donkey Kong’s model and animations were updated as well. In the original, Donkey Kong could be seen playing a 3DS XL in one of his idle animations. In the Switch version, he plays a Switch. It turns out that his arms, hands, nose and more were also updated. GameXplain uploaded a video showing off the changes, so we’ve included that for you down below.

Honestly not liking the nose.
His previous nose was fine. I don’t like this one, it does not suit him.
Not sure if it’s because of the angle but something about his face makes me uncomfortable.
Its the nose, it makes him look so different.
He looks more like an ape now. Liking the difference. Maybe this is to more closely align with the new 3D game (I’m dreaming, I know).
Good to see they have updated the graphics a little bit. As for the nose, the new one makes it look more like the artwork so that’s cool. The two dots on the old one now looks so weird and basic to me

I never noticed his old nose, and probably would have never noticed this new one either. Now I can’t unsee it haha
New nose is better. That’s how DKs nose is supposed to look. I never would’ve noticed if it wasn’t pointed out though. Very small change.
I really didn’t care about this title. Admittedly fun…but as fun as the SWITCH version is gonna be, I still don’t care for DKTF.
