IGN recently had the chance to speak to the developers behind Spyro Reignited Trilogy. The developers, Toys for Bob, said that they could not comment regarding whether Spyro Reignited Trilogy will come to the Nintendo Switch. Spyro Reignited Trilogy is currently in development for the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One but no word of a Nintendo Switch version was mentioned in the reveal trailer. Spyro Reignited Trilogy is coming in September.

      1. Most likely. Otherwise they’d probably just say “there are no plans for a Switch version at this time” or something to that effect… We have 5 months to find out though, definitely getting a version as soon as it comes out but I’d prefer it be on the Switch.

    1. usually when they’re playing coy like this means is a positive but can’t reveal, but it also could be a “no”. what do i know? we’re used to this lmao.

            1. I never said it was a problem. Any major game, be it first party, third party, or indie, are almost always announced in a Nintendo Direct, regardless of when they were originally announced. There’s no difference here.

  1. Basically more confirmation of it coming to Switch after the Nintendo UK store listing. I wonder why it wasn’t announced with the others? The only decent reason I’ve heard is that as it’s being released in September they are holding off for a bit due to the speculated release of Smash Bros that month with the online service.

  2. So they can’t comment on Spyro for Nintendo Switch because they want to have this as a surprise for E3? That’s what I get from their “could not comment”.

  3. (Continuation) Or maybe they are under strict NDA from Nintendo which are extremely secretive to the point where it can be annoying (example, no announcement of a new 2D Zelda game or at least one similar to Ocarina or Majora’s Mask).

  4. Yeah, I think that they said this because they have a later release coming. If it wasn’t coming, he would say something like “We don’t have anything planned yet”

  5. You also forget that they were commented on a PC version of the game. They also said no comment. So hopefully, Activision will port it to the PC as well.

Maybe mods will come out of it. lol
