Platinum Games Would Like To Bring The Wonderful 101 To Nintendo Switch

Eurogamer has revealed that Platinum Games would love to rerelease The Wonderful 101 on the Nintendo Switch. The news was revealed during Reboot Develop 2018. Platinum Games Hideki Kamiya asked the crowd how many people in the audience had played the orignal. The translator then relayed:

“We’re going to knock the audience participation up a bit. They’re still trying to negotiate with Nintendo whether a possible Wonderful 101 Switch release could happen but it always helps when the people in the audience at Reboot clap if they’d actually buy a Switch version of Wonderful 101. So anybody who would buy that, please clap…”

Here’s what Atsushi Inaba, co-founder and executive director, said to Eurogamer after the event:

“From their perspective obviously there are things they can’t talk about, about dealings they have with Nintendo. Certainly they can say everything they said during the speech, which was, ‘Hey, we should do that.’ But whether that is a ‘we are going to do that’, and what the likelihood is of that happening, is just going to have to be something you wait to find out.”

  1. I enjoyed it although it took a long while into the game before it clicked with me, before that it was quite a frustrating experience. Good for those who’ve never tried it but not one I would personally get again.

  2. I got that game on sale and still felt like I wasted money. Most of the bosses were confusing with weird difficulty spikes. Plus the humour in it was really low brow. “Oh hey it’s a fat guy, let’s make fat jokes,” “Oh hey, it’s a girl she should be bitchy,” “Oh hey, it’s a Russian, he should be dumb.” Whoever thought that was funny should have their balls put in a blender.

  5. I recently tried it and it felt like a cheezy Saturday morning show or a cheap power ranger/superhero knock off. but if there are fans of that I’d say go for it, although personally myself i wont be getting it. saving for no more heroes and dragon quest builders 2
