The New Mega Man Animated Cartoon Is Called Mega Man: Fully Charged

We heard quite a while ago that Mega Man is getting a brand new animated series on Cartoon Network. Today, news has emerged that its had a name change and it is now titled Mega Man: Fully Charged. The new cartoon is set to air in the United States this fall and will also be accompanied by a new toy series from Jakks Pacific.

“Aki Light is a regular, upbeat, robot schoolboy. He lives in the futuristic world of Silicon City, co-inhabited by robots and humans. But this robot boy has a secret… Deep within his programming lie protocols that can transform him into the powerful hero, Mega Man! When the villainous Sgt. Night and his evil team of Robot Masters emerge with ill-intentions, Mega Man dedicates himself to protecting the citizens of Silicon City.

Equipped with his Mega Buster arm cannon and the ability to absorb the powers of his opponents, he bravely battles the wickedest of villains. In this brand new series inspired by the iconic Mega Man video game, comical, action-packed adventures abound as we follow the journey of Aki Light and his alter-ego, Mega Man, as he strives to balance life as an ordinary robot boy AND an amazing superhero.”

    1. Of course it’s aimed at kids, almost all cartoons are! Just because adults can like it doesn’t mean it wasn’t intended for kids (My Little Pony). IMO this looks like more of the same crap Cartoon Network has been shoveling out lately, but just because it doesn’t interest you doesn’t mean it won’t interest someone else. Get over yourself.

  2. Wow, Mega Man is so original now. I definitely didn’t immediately think of three other cartoons with similar/exactly the same premises, two of which also starring a blue robot as the lead.
