Koei Tecmo Says They Would Love To Work With Mario

Koei Tecmo has revealed their dream projects to Kotaku and it seems the two franchises they would be interested in working on the most would be Star Wars and Mario. Koei Tecmo’s president Hisashi Koinuma had the following to say about the Mario series.

“I’d like to have an opportunity to work on Nintendo’s Mario,” Koinuma said. “Basically, he’s a character I’ve been playing with ever since I was a kid, so if I could do something with him, I’d be really happy.”

    1. How could you be against that? Mario has such a unique roster. Smashing tons of koopas and goombas with Mario’s hammer would be extremely satisfying.

      1. Make a game bigger and better with skill and all… Not just hitting one button and having a bland story

        1. So the games are clearly not for you. Bland story is pretty accurate but to say “hitting one button” is not. The gameplay is very addicting and if it sells, why not try out other series? I personally would play the shit out of a Mushroom Kingdom Warriors game.

          1. Ive played like 5 warriors games and the spin offs like Zelda, fire emblem and that gundam one … It not my thing, I’ve gone alot of Nintys stuff lately and it sucks, Odyssey was meh and I not really been wowed by a game in a while, just want good old games back

  1. Star Wars Warriors: Sequel Lover Edition & Star Wars Warriors: Sequel Hater Edition. The lover edition would include all films while the hater edition would just include the original trilogy since some Star Wars fans hate anything beyond Return. Oh & the Ewoks will be replaced with little marshmallow people since some people hate Ewoks, too. (I’d buy the Lover Edition.)

      1. Facebook. Ever since The Last Jedi was in theaters, there hasn’t gone one Star Wars article comment section on Facebook I’ve checked out without a bunch of vitriol going on between the Star Wars fanbase of those that liked TLJ & those that hated it.

        1. Yeh, people can’t really get along… even for something that simple.
For me, not all of the films are great, but they’re all Star Wars. If people don’t like them just don’t watch them, and let those who appreciate more content have it.
