A South Park: The Fractured But Whole Switch Patch Has Been Submitted To Nintendo

Ubisoft has announced on the company’s official forums that a patch for the Switch version of South Park: The Fractured But Whole has been submitted to Nintendo. Ubisoft says that “the process for deployment usually takes two weeks”, so it will be a little while before the patch releases. In the meantime, Ubisoft has shared the patch notes:

  • Resolved an infinite loading screen that might occur when entering the D-Mobile building.
  • Fixed an issue that caused some players’ save files to be reset.
  • Fixed a possible freeze if the player starts the Danger Deck DLC.
  • Fixed a freeze that may occur when skipping a cinematic at the New Kid’s parents’ door.
  • Resolved various minor bugs.

  1. Fixed an issue that caused some players’ save files to be reset.
    If stuff like that happens – you don’t release the game. Periode. Ubisoft will never learn

    1. }{ While I agree with you in principle, it’s more than possible that this bug is caused by a rare edge case that was missed by testers… While Ubisoft is in fact usually evil, need I remind you that even your precious nintendo allowed pokemon x and y to be released with a save corrupting bug in lumiose city… Mistakes happen everywhere, and to react this way is only acceptable for the ignorant… Don’t be one of them… }{

      1. If you knew me, you would know I hate a lot on Nintendo as well. My podcast is 74,3% about Nintendo’s horrible decisions.
        I’m fully aware it could be a glitch which slipped the crack of the Quality Check, but Ubisoft is way past (I bet it just was an accident” at this point.

  2. Thank God…I have experience the unlimited loading at D mobile too……I can’t wait for it to be fixed.

    1. I have experienced both that and the save reset glitch. The latter one was horrible and quite unexplainable, haha. Luckily, it “only” destroyed my auto-save and I “only” lost about one or two hours of progress.

  3. don’t assume its developer’s laziness, i can agree that stuff like that puts people off but it may have slipped past debugging and no amount of debugging will keep a game bug free because it takes a lot of man power, resources and time and that is not laziness, its like saying a cashier taking over for another cashier is because retails are too lazy to hire more people instead of having that cashier open up a new register when i reality that cashier is covering for their break/lunch.

  4. Finally! I managed to finish the game and all the missions apart from the d-mobile one but was scared the whole time.
