Treyarch Says They Have No Plans To Bring Black Ops 4 To Nintendo Switch

The full reveal for Black Ops 4 was showcased yesterday and as many had previously suggested the game doesn’t feature a single player campaign but instead focusses on multiplayer and a newly added Battle Royale mode. Some of you were wondering whether the game might eventually make its way onto the Nintendo Switch, however that seems very unlikely now. Yale Miller, senior producer at Treyarch and Matt Scronce, gameplay designer at Treyarch, stated that they have no plans to bring the next instalment of the Call of Duty series to the Nintendo Switch, so that’s that.

  1. I told you guys? They hate Nintendo so much that no Call of Duty game will ever appear on the Switch again. XD

Good thing too since the game freaking SUCKS!

      1. We haven’t been getting these games since Black Ops 2. That was the last time a COD game has ever enter the Nintendo system.

You’re better off not buying any COD game for Nintendo in the foreseeable future.

        1. Frankly I don’t care, but saying the a franchise such as CoD would make no difference if it was on the Switch doesn’t make sense to me. To be fair, I don’t understand what they were thinking not having a switch version. Then again you said it yourself, a “CoD Multiplayer-Only” wouldn’t really be practical considering the type of console the Switch is.

      1. Not Damage Control, just saying the game looks like it’ll just end up being filled with screaming toddlers and bro-dudes who have injected several grams of G-Fuel into their bloodstream.

Also, did you know a significant of CoD fans are refusing the play the game due to the lack of Multiplayer.
And not to mention, the Switch seems to be selling just fine without CoD, but you keep telling yourself all platforms need CoD despite the fact PS4 will most likely get the most sells.

    1. Nothing of value to most people interested in what you and I consider good games, true. But it is a well-selling game that would bring more people to buying the Switch, which would in turn make it a more compelling platform for developers. So even if it doesn’t matter to us, since we wouldn’t buy the game anyway, it could still affect us negatively in the end.

  2. What’s up with companies not bring games to the switch? It’s selling really well and would expect them to reach 30 million by the end of this year. Power shouldn’t be a problem as they ported games to the Wii once they saw the hardware sales.

    1. No. Just Activision like screwing people over with bullshit Microtransactions. EA got into trouble for the same reasons. Have you seen the Dislikes in Star Wars 2? It was THAT bad!

At least the less shitty games. The merrier

    2. To be frank, I doubt this game would sell very well on a system like the Switch. A lot of the best selling games on the Switch are those that fit the portable setup really well, and CoD does not fit that, especially here with the lack of single player.

  3. No matter how well the console excels in sales, some do not want to give support. This is so ridiculous.

    1. No. They just wanna scam people using no single player mode and Nintendo just told them no. So they said fuck it and not port it to Switch. Has nothing to do with power. Just greed is all.

    1. EA WOULD BE SOOOOOOO FUKKING RETARDED THEY WOULD ADD IT WITHOUT GYRO MOUSE AIMING

JUST ANOTHER GAMES INDUSTRY DEMON DOING THERE DEMONIC DOGSHIT

  4. The game has no single player campaign. What the hell is an online only version of CoD going to do for a portable system?

      1. DONT ENCOURAGE THE MORON….LOL WHAT IS COD DOING ON SWITCH

ERM BEING PLAYED WITH ACTUAL FPS GYRO MOUSE CONTROLS MAYBE YOU DUMB AZZ CASUAL

    1. BE PLAYED AT HOME AND MOBILE ALSO

AND YOUR LOGIC MAKES NO SENSE WHAT IS COD DOING ON CONSOLES WITOUT FPS CONTROLS

SWITCH IS THE ONLY FPS READY CONSOLE IN EXISTENCE

YOUR A MORON AND CODS STILL SHIT

  5. These western companies just don’t care about Nintendo fans. Sad but true. There’s no point getting upset anymore, just accept it and forget about these types of games or if you really love them you’ll have to play them on another console or PC. I’m not interested in COD at all but really sucks for people that wanted a Switch version.

    1. They just don’t care for any gaming fans really. Not just Nintendo. But people who only play an FPS just to have fun not waste money paying for that new gun or tattoos on a guy’s arm.

All companies want money even if our Government wants to put a stop to it.

  6. Their seems to be a lot of hatred for the game just because it’s not coming to Switch. I enjoyed COD WWII on my PS4 and enjoy using my Switch for Nintendo exclusives and things that fit the platform. The Switch is simply much weaker than the competing systems which is why AAA ports like Doom are massive downgrades. The Switch fills a different niche and not everything can come too it because it’s sometimes just not possible while ensuring quality.

    1. You are honestly the first person I have ever heard say that they enjoy WWII

I got it as a gift and have been forcing myself to play it so I don’t feel bad about not liking it, however, the more I play it the worst it gets, it feels like its in a constant lag, the graphics are awful, playability all gung ho and no skill involved at all, spawning is an absolute joke, perks…. what perks, weapons are copy and paste with visual differences in some cases and then I save the best for last……. the maps, the glob awful maps…. everytime I see any map I feel physically ill.

      Overall a 2/10

But hey, each to their own lol

  7. Fools!!
Obviously aren’t interested in making a lot more dollars.
Never mind we are used to not playing these games anyway.

And we’ve got Wolfenstein ll and no doubt Bethesda will show some more support come e3.

    I’m happy!!

  9. Nothing to see here people, I own a PS4 aswell as a switch and I have nooooooo plans to purchase this on any platform.

COD games have been going steadily down hill ever since MW2/3, imo that is.

Glad it isn’t releasing on the switch, that way when it tanks (like the previous going back to MW3) then they cannot blame Nintendo in any way shape or form.

  10. there not bringing there fps game to the only console with FPS controls

loot gamble box microtrans BOT AIM LAG COMPENSATION DOGSHIT

  11. I donˋt care about CoD, but with Joy-Con motion aiming the Switch version woukd have been the best console version of the game.🎯

  12. Why is this still a thing? Can ‘gamers’ really not grow up? It’s not 2010 folks. Call of Duty isn’t big or clever anymore. It’s like one itteration away from being a free to play mobile game and shouldn’t be taken seriously by anybody over the age of 12.

    1. It isn’t big? Apparently you have been living under a rock for the past decade. Stop trying to be in denial just because you don’t care about it.

  13. It’s prefty stupid to say that CoD games are of no value, considering they have a huge fan base and could bring Nintendo a lot of money

  14. Good.

We don’t need that gritty shallow crap on the Switch. It and others like it made platformers obscure (outside of Mario and retro-esque indie games).

  15. No Black Ops on switch? No single player campaign? Thank God we’re not getting that pile of trash.

  16. Well, either they don’t like money, or the development of the game started before Switch kits were available, and/or development began before the Switch was a known success that actually sells 3rd party games very well.

However, if the next game isn’t on Switch, then it’s very clear that they just don’t like Nintendo or the fanbase. There IS wiggle room here with the development cycle for this game, but not the next one. Switch is a known hit, it’s been known for about a full year now, and confirmed that 3rd party titles sell well. No excuses next game.
