  1. Have y’all heard of those houses they are constructing out of GTA V boxes ? Lol seriously though it’s 2018 and still making best seller lists. Crazy but I don’t even own the darned thing yet 😅

    1. Honestly, I lost interest in the series a long time ago. I just don’t see it as anything other than shiny but pointless features to dress up the same gameplay from the PS2 games. I bought GTA V, and didn’t even finish the prologue missions.

      1. “Hate to say it but the same could be said for Pokemon, Zelda, Mario, & hundreds of other franchises that have been around for more than 5 years.”

Depends on which game you mean. Most modern Mario games have had significant deviations from the last one in the series, BOTW is clearly of a different Zelda mold, and while the Pokemon main series is copypasta, they make a lot of side games that aren’t. Though your point is taken. I was just commenting on it here because GTA seems to be immune to the laws of diminishing returns.

        1. Especially this entry. If I didn’t know any better, I’d say this one has sold BETTER than most entries. We can thank the online component (GTA Online) for that. Online, along with open world, has become pretty popular in gaming these days. Before it, it was platformers, then RPGs, then FPS, then motion controls. I wonder what will be next.

  2. Nintendo has not released anything really good in 2018, and it shows. Need new games, not just ports. Ports are good if released together with new games.
