There Are Some Physical Copies Of Mega Man Legacy Collection 1 & 2 That Are Missing Their Download Codes

Mega Man Legacy Collection 1 and 2 has been out for about a week now. For the most part, things have been running smoothly. However, not everyone has had at great experience. It turns out that some people are not getting half of the content. This is because, unfortunately, some people are missing the digital codes that allow them to download Mega Man Legacy Collection 2. One person even reached out to Capcom on Twitter for some help, so we’ve included their tweet for you down below.

  2. Should of bundled it all on the cart for god sake.

I mean, I always like to buy games that I want in my collection to be physical copy’s.
I don’t mind downloading cheap virtual/indie games, but games like this I want it all physical.
Would it of really been too much bother to have both collections on the cartridge.
I would be seriously pissed if my download code is missing or maybe it will be when I buy legacy which my local game store hasn’t got yet?

    1. Sometimes this is companies fighting against used sales and GameFly since doing this kills the resale value for sure. Then of course the first collection is just under 400mb and the second collection is 6gb (according to Steam), so they squeeze out a little more profit by getting to go with a 1gb cart over the 8gb. If the increased profits offset the handful of people who skip because of it, then they win I guess.

  3. Dr. Wily is causing chaos in a way that Mega Man could never have predicted, he’s using invisible ink on the codes.

  5. Please people, ignore this incomplete product and do not buy it! If you real need play this games like me, play it on emulators. If many peoples buy this incomplete product, in future all releases is all the same garbage.

    1. Too late, already bought it.
Playing all these games on the Switch is fantastic.
I recommend others buy it as well. :)

Also, why would you emulate it? These games are on PC as well. I own the first Legacy Collection on PC. There’s no reason to be emulating it. They’re all readily available. It’s not overpriced. $20 per collection is more than fair. Sounds like you’re just wanting to play games for free.

  6. This is why I only buy physical and physical only! The only MM collection I’m buying is the X collection, and I’m importing the Japanese versions where both collections are on physical carts. F!@# this half physical/half digital download crap, it makes zero sense for anyone to buy into it, you might as well go full digital rather than half and half!
Btw no one found it odd that Capcom somehow magically managed to put every 2d SF game on one cart as a complete physical release, but were unable to do the same for every MM collection?! Just think about that for a minute.
