It is no secret that the Wii U did not sell well. Even Ubisoft, which was a huge supporter of the console in the first few years of the Wii U’s life, gradually lost interest. Unfortunately, this would lead to a game never releasing, despite the fact that the game was finished and rated by the ESRB. That game is Know Your Friends, a title that Liam Robertson takes a look at in a new video that was uploaded to the Did You Know Gaming? YouTube channel. Here’s the video:
was probably full of bugs like all the games they make
I cherish the bugs/glitches in the Assassin’s Creed games. They provide SO much laughter.
Having bugs and glitches in their games is pretty much a trademark for Ubisoft at this point.
There’s a lot you can say about Ubisoft that they definitely deserve, but they’re one of the few who have tried to make use of Nintendo’s unique systems every gen. No More Heroes 1+2, Red Steel 1+2, and the Rabbid party games with the Wii, Zombie U and Rayman Legends (before Zombie U tanked, that was planned as an exclusive) on the Wii U, and Kingdom Battle on the Switch. That’s a bunch of exclusives that made use of the consoles they were on.
To be fair, NMH 1 and 2 had little to no Ubisoft involvement, the idea for motion controls was all Suda51 and Grasshopper.
Yah that’s an odd one, since it sounds like it was made with a bit more autonomy than usual and the publishers probably mostly handled just printing and promotion (since it has a different publisher for each region). That’s very different from your typical “send us a monthly milestone video and let us tell you what we like and what you need to fix to get your teams payroll for the month.”
But it’s still a financial investment, and therefore risk, for Ubisoft to take on the publishing role. They support Nintendo more than most, is all I’m saying.
Zombie U was one of my fav game on the Wii U
Zombi U didn’t tank, it sold pretty well for a horror game released as a launch title.
“Yves Guillemot, Chairman and CEO of Ubisoft, is typically one of the biggest proponents of new systems, but betting big on the Wii U didn’t work out well for the company. ZombiU, one of the most popular launch titles for the system with players, was not profitable, he says. Not even close. As such, he says, there are no plans (or even desire) for a sequel. It was, in fact, because of that game’s performance that Ubisoft decided to make Rayman Legends a multiplatform game.”

Essentially another local party game. Just what the Wii U did NOT need. Then again, it might have helped to lure some suckers into buying a Wii U… maybe…
local play party game.*
I am more looking forward to the Mario + Rabbits Kingdom Battle Donkey Kong Adventure DLC than the Mario story of this game.

Will a Pokémon announcement come today? I’m beginning to think that it won’t happen today because of the current time.
This base has been free of trolls and now is the perfect time to finally reveal that i am commander quadraxis.
To be fair? I don’t think this game would have sold well even on a system that at the time was dying. So not many people are clamoring for a release of it.
Carefully observe the winners, don’t always pay attention to the losers
