(Update: Amazon Pre-Order Page Is Live) Rumor: A Deleted Brazilian Bandai Namco Tweet Says That Tales Of Vesperia: Definitive Edition Is Coming To The Switch

Update: It’s confirmed. A pre-order page for the Switch version is now on Amazon.

Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition was recently unveiled at Microsoft’s E3 2018 press conference. The game is multi-platform, but this may not just be because of a PC and Playstation 4 release. Earlier today, Bandai Namco Brazil’s Twitter dropped a bombshell. They said that the game would also be coming to the Nintendo Switch. The tweet has now been deleted, but fans have been able to take screenshots of the tweet. Here’s one of them:

  1. I don’t know if this is the same series as Tales Of Symphonia, but man……I was SO disappointed with Tales Of Symphonia (on Gamecube). And the very thing I disliked is the very thing that was praised the most (as usual). The battle system. I only played a little bit of that game and couldn’t stand it any longer. But I don’t know if this will be like that.

    1. Tales of Symphonia is one of my favorite games of all time, you definitely missed out by skipping the game, but to each there own I guess. The battle system is the staple of the series, it doesn’t change much but newer iterations have certainly improved upon it. The most important change in the battle system from Symphonia is the free movement in a 3D space instead of being stuck on a 2D plain. I personally find these true real time battle systems to be a lot more fun and engaging than the pseudo-real time or full turn based fighting found in most modern jrpgs.

  2. i`m not saying this information is false, but do not believe in us brazilians, our journalists are all a bunch of liars thirsty for click baits

  3. This was nice to see when I was watching Microsoft’s E3 2018 conference. Project X Zone 2 made me interested in Tales of Vesperia & now it’s getting an HD remaster for PS4, Xbox One, & Switch. Personally, I’ll be getting it on PS4 but it’s good it’s coming to the Switch, too, for the Switch only peeps.

    1. I have a gaming PC that would blow your weak little PS4 out of the water several times over; still getting this for the(even weaker) switch; portability makes all the difference, only graphics-whores chose power over function.

      1. Portability makes all the difference to you maybe. But there are still millions of people that don’t care about portability (I’m one of them.) So your opinion about portability is subjective, not a fact.

And graphics who re!? Where!? Wait. Are you referring to me? lol If you are, let me explain how you are wrong. (If you weren’t talking about me with that label, ignore everything after this.) PS4 is a great system for multiplatforms for a lot of people. It’s also got quite a couple of worthwhile exclusives too than some people give them credit for if they are willing to give them a chance (many actually do enjoy their exclusives.) And unlike Switch, it’s got the better data storage choice: external HDDs. My Switch is for exclusives only as Micro SD Cards are too expensive for the amount of data they can carry when compared to eHDDs (and Micro SD Cards are the only option for external data storage on Switch), so I need to limit the amount of games I get on the system so I don’t spend too much on data storage for it. So I got my PS4 for affordability (the best gaming PCs are too expensive for my budget), power (being weaker than a PC isn’t such a bad thing since you yourself are gonna be getting this game for your Switch so bashing the PS4 for being weaker than your gaming PC when the Switch is even weaker seems rather silly), exclusives, & multiplatform games. So this entire graphics who re label you throwing at me is wrong. But whatever. If you still want to label me as such, that’s your problem, not mine.

      2. Forgot to address the “power over function” thingy. If you read the bigger chunk of my reply to you, you’ll realize that I chose the PS4 because of function, not power. So no to that, too. I did not choose power over function. Of course, power itself is a function so the entire power over function is actually rather redundant.

  4. Honestly, I’m not sure how I feel.

Back then, I would have given anything to see it come to the Wii back when it was released. But now, over a decade later, I’m not sure if I still care.
