It’s official. Super Smash Bros. Switch, now called Super Smash Bros: Ultimate, will release on December 7th. It was the last announcement to come from Nintendo’s E3 2018 Direct:

This was amazing for a Smash Direct.
But as an E3 Direct this was very poor. Absolutely nothing new other than Smash and once again Retro’s game is a mystery. If it’s still Star Fox Racing this is taking way too long.
Last year’s E3 was soooooooo much better.

I’ve got some potentially bad news for Infinite.
I was looking at the new Smash site and went onto Marth’s page- one of the screenshots features Lyndis standing behind him. I think she’s an Assist again otherwise they would try to keep her appearance secret.
I already know she’s an assist trophy again as she was in the Direct as an assist. You must have missed her.
Guess I did, then. Whoops.
Ya never know, though. Lyndis and Bomberman being Assist Trophies could be misdirections as they plan to add them as playable characters through DLC later on if enough people make a big enough of an uproar for them as playable. Just. Like. Ridley. Muahahahahahaha! xD
And now Waluigi with as much uproar as his continued role as an Assist while Daisy gets in as an echo.

This is it, I’m trading the Switch in for a PS4, I didn’t want to believe it and it’s sad because I really want to play Bayonetta 3 and Metroid Prime 4, but this is completely unacceptable, there has only been 1 new game the whole fucking year and it’s a goddamn Kirby platformer, and now not a single good game in the horizon other than the Smash Bros port and Nintendo keeps thinking it’s ok to just give the middle finger to those of us who supported them during the Wii U era by re-releasing everything for Switch and that this is an acceptable remedy to a year-long draught.
Fuck this shit, there’s about a dozen of PS4 and XBONE games I want to play and I haven’t been able to because I went and bought a fucking Switch on the empty promises of these scam artists, Switch may have been all the rage last year but it is growing stale fast and I’d rather they would have continued the Wii U if this is how the Switch is going to keep going.

Man leave then. First off Ultimate is not a port, it’s a new game. Kirby isn’t the only new game releasing this year Project Octopath, Ninjala, Mario tennis Aces, Travis Strikes Back, and Valkyrie Chronicles 4, and Monster Hunter XX, Super Mario Party, and Let’s Go Pikachu/Eevee are new games stupid. I have a Xbox which got no exclusives and only 3 big AAA games coming out this year alone while the PS4 only have God of War and Spiderman to look forward to, but feel free to cry some more.

Coming out sooner than I expected but they did promise it’d be releasing this year. If it’s not a port & a new game, maybe it will get Splatoon like updates every few weeks if it releases a little barebone?
I’d hardly consider 50+ unlockable fighters barebones.
But yeah, I hope they do continue to add to the game.
I feel like for this one, they might pull a Splatoon and add new content every once in a while. Switch is still very early in its life cycle, and it’s life cycle looks like it’s going to be a very long one. If they start immediately, a steady stream of new content could be one of the best things for the game.
I just hope it has better modes than Smash Wii U- I swear to gods if we get another Smash Tour mode…
