Rumour: Dragon Quest XI On Nintendo Switch Could Have Additional Content

The upcoming port of Dragon Quest XI on the Nintendo Switch still remains shrouded in mystery. However, one user on Twitter was at the Square Enix’s 38th annual meeting of stockholders and has tweeted that the company plans to include some additional content that isn’t to be found in the PlayStation 4 version, which comes to the west in September. As there’s been no official information from Square Enix regarding the project this will be marked as a rumour.

  1. I’ve heard that the Switch version of this game has been quietly cancelled. That Square Enix know it would not get a great reaction if they announced this news and so they’ll push out and push out its release date and eventually say something like there were technical difficulties. The real reason is the Switch is too weak and that Square Enix announced it before they were fully aware of the Switch specs. Which, makes it very hard to backtrack. Sure, we haven’t seen a single screenshot or bit of footage of it running on Switch. Why do you think that is? The game’s been out almost a year on PS4 and 3DS in Japan.

  2. I always thought this was a distinct possibility. It’s a common practice for developers to put in extra content to a port of a game if it comes out much later on the additional console.
