We found out last night that you’ll be able to use the Toy-Con Motorbike from the Nintendo Labo: Variety Kit to control your in-game vehicles in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe on the Nintendo Switch. It’s great news for those of you who own the Labo kit and now the company says more games on the Nintendo Switch will be compatible in the future.
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is the first game outside of Nintendo Labo software to receive Toy-Con support, and more titles will be compatible with Nintendo Labo in the future. Please stay tuned!
We used to have white bulky plastic things to connect to Wiimote. Now we have easily replacable, environmentally friendly, upgradable and customizable stuff that widens our gaming possibilities. I dig it.
Well it’s recyclable but not really eco-friendly as you’d have to purchase newer ones which most likely are made from more cut down trees. But, you can make your own version using recycled cardboard so I guess the idea is indeed eco-friendly

hehe, if you ever had a Toycon in your hand, you might not dig it that much anymore. I definitely will try playing Mario Kart with the bike-toycon, but assuming from my experience with the house and the fishing rod, it’s just a fun little gimmick and likely to break apart if I would ever really “play” Mario Kart. It’s nice that they add some Labolove now and I think it would be a perfect fit for the upcoming Yoshigame, but I guess noone not owning a Labo really misses anything here.
I have the Variety kit and I’m very satisfied, all it takes is a little bit of caution and it might last pretty long. I see it as a very clever game peripherals that may increase your fun while playing, while not being strictly required.
Who cares if it’s eco-friendly?! I’m so pumped!

Indeed, everyone should have a further understanding about what “eco-friendly” is.
Trees used in paper industry came from fast-growing forest, which were planted to be the source of various industries such as paper production and disposable tableware production (made of paper). Disposed paper can easily be degraded, and back into the eco-system.
So no need to worry about cardboard, and other products made from trees, won’t be harmful to the earth. Speaking as an environmental engineering postgraduate.

They’ve got to try and figure out a way to rescue the flop that is Lamo. I for one have no interest in this flimsy, childish gimmick and I know I’m not alone. And especially keep it away from more mature games like Metroid Prime 4, though by the time that releases, Lamo will most likely be 6 foot under.

As I said in the other article, don’t hold games back to force this shit & only do it as an afterthought for games that already released and I won’t have any issue with Labo being integrated to other stuff.
