Super Bomberman R got a very large update tonight, and it includes the Nintendo Switch version. The update added “the ‘Checkpoints’ rule to Grand Prix mode, three types of Metal Gear stages and 10 new characters available in the shop”. The new characters include Solid Snake and Naked Snake. Here’s a list of the new characters that were added:

I just wanted to debate about it, ssf1991, but what you do when you don’t like some content? You delete it and lock comments! You demand human rights for them, but you violate human rights of others and you don’t care. Your censorship won’t solve anything. So for the last time, I demand my human rights. If you won’t stop censoring what you don’t like, I’ll make you regret it.

I hadn’t followed that thread in awhile, and reading this just went to check that thread. My comments were also removed, which were not in any way critical of anyone’s personal life choices. They were simply critical of the political movement in other ways. Real scumbag move ssf1991. Intolerance like yours is the problem.
Exactly, they want tolerance but when someone doesn’t agree with them they are totally intolerant.
Hey, that post’s comment section has been locked as there were some genuinely nasty comments from a couple of people. SSF1991 was a little heavy handed I admit that. Some of the comments got stuck in pending due to the recent filter but I haven’t approved them as I have locked comments on that thread. Sorry to anyone who feels they were victimised :(

Fair enough. Do I understand it correctly that locking article with comments waiting for approval means their deletion? Also, I must suggest different approach next time when something like this (N marching in Pride) happens:
a) not report anything – the easiest, but doesn’t make sense due to this being news website
b) lock comments immediately after the article is released – wouldn’t cause this chaos with approvals
c) let the discussion be free – if anything isn’t explicitly hateful (using vulgar words etc.) don’t delete it
In my opinion, ssf1991 got too affected by his attitudes and didn’t really respect our freedom of expression. And, to be honest, I see no reason for deleting my comment just for stating that homose – xuality isn’t good for survival of our human race, that’s as dumb as deleting his article about N marching in Pride – in both cases that’s simply denying the truth.
1. No, I’ve basically installed a filter on the comments due to opening them up to everyone. This means that some of the comments get stuck in the pending queue and I have to manually go into the comments and approve them. It’s a pain! With that thread I locked it recently and the additional comments were deleted (as they wouldn’t have shown up as the post was closed for comments) It’s the first time we have done that so it didn’t go smoothly.
2. Yes, SFF1991 would have closed the comments but he didn’t know how to and I was asleep at the time due to time difference. But yes, if another incident like that happens I’ve told him how to and I’ve also spoken to him about commenting to others.
3. Yes, comment should be free, to a degree. However, some of the comments were just plain dreadful. But yes, it was handled the wrong way. I’ve also opened up the contact form so if you or anyone else have any issues just use that and I’ll reply when I’m awake.

Yeah, I think ssf1991 connected his attitudes in comments and his moderating duty together and this resulted in very controversial modding decisions, however at least I am glad he replied to my comment regarding his censorship as I thanks to that could understand who decided to delete it and why.
3. Of course nobody wants total freedom of speech as that’d result in anarchy in the comments section :D , but I think when the comment doesn’t include vulgar words or direct insults, it should pass through, no matter if ssf1991 or someone thinks it’s xenophobic, homophobic etc. as these are very relative words.

Ha, believe me the comment system used to be anarchy hence why it’s now filtered. And yes, as I said, I spoke to him earlier today and I won’t say more. No problem, feel free to use it :)
