Bethesda Says More Games In The Works For Nintendo Switch But No Fallout 4

The folks over at Game Reactor managed to secure an interview with Bethesda’s Todd Howard at Gamelab to ask him a few questions revolving around the Nintendo Switch. Mr. Howard said that the company has no plans to release Fallout 4 on the platform despite them being aware of the numerous requests from fans. However, Nintendo Switch support will continue from Bethesda in the future. Here’s what he said:

“Well there’s definitely interest,” he responded. “It’s not something that we are exploring right now. We think Switch is a great platform – it was the first time we really worked closely with Nintendo on Skyrim – and really, really great experience and we’ll certainly be doing more things there in the future, but right now it’s not a mainline Fallout 4.”

  1. I hope they mean doom eternal.
    That’s prob a def.
Not so sure bout elder scrolls though,
I honestly think this game is gona be a while and will probably be next gen consoles ( just hope Nintendo can catch up with the power output and keep it up )

  2. OK BUT WHAT GAMES TODD!!!!!!!
I know that Panic Button are working on a game they will announce at the end of July. Also instead of Fallout 4 do Fallout 3 anniversary Las Vegas.

I know Besthesda are hiding something for Nintendo September direct AGAIN!!!!!!. for games that will come for november . Fallout 76 with crossplay?, Doom Eternal?(Panic Button will bring this without any doubt), Fallout 3, Rage 2, Prey, Elder Scroll 6(nahhh this one will take like 6 more years for development). But pls not just Cards or mobile games we want the other games too.

    1. I know they said that mobile Elder Scrolls game is coming to all consoles, and that looks… sorta neat, I guess? But yeah, some more proper games would be nice too.

  3. Honestly, Fallout 4 was a waste.
Nice game for a while but after you see the story not even half way, you regret even doing anything and it just becomes boring.

Now if Rage 2 and Doom Eternal are coming to Switch, that’s what gets me up in the morning.
Funny enough, a Local Game store I go to was actually had an SKU for the Switch port of Doom Eternal and the fact the manager froze for a bit but then just openly admitted that it’s a strong possibility, I just pre-ordered it, but he did say he’d give me a refund if it turns out to be false but I have trust in them.

Rage 2 would be amazing on Switch, mainly because the game looks freaking awesome and I actually loved the first Rage game.

Rage 2 and Doom Eternal are games that have a high chance of coming to the Switch, but games like Starfield and Elder Scrolls 6 (Which I’m pumped up for) I feel won’t come to the Switch…. but, if sells of the Switch keep going the way they are, I can see Todd Howard making room for Switch to be a platform for Starfield and Elder Scrolls 6 can land on.

    1. I agree with what your saying.
I think doom will be a def and it’s getting shown off properly August 10th so it’s close to release ( maybe not end of year, but next year).
Rage 2 also a good possibility.
As for starfield and elder, these probably will be next gen as I mentioned above, but Nintendo as brilliantly as their doing with the switch ( and I’m playing Wolfenstein and it looks and plays bloody good and really good for handheld ) they must finally release a console that is on a par with x box and ps for power so we GET these games for sure.
So many games require more work to downgrade for a less powerful console and this is one of the reasons we won’t get certain games

      1. Switch came out in ’17..5-6 years and we could see a new system. 2021-22 is rumored for the next gen PS/Box . Kinda fills the next gen gap

      2. My guess (and of many others) is that next gen PS and XBOX are released on 2020/21 and same time frame for second revision of Switch. Nintendo has said that Switch can be around for about ten years and i think there will be v3 eventually. Mobile hardware progresses really fast. All of these Switch versions would be backward compatible in limits of the hardware.

  4. Fallout Series: I think they can bring to us Fallout New Vegas or Maybe 76(its hard bcs the size and graphics)
Doom Eternal: I think the graphics will be better, so, i think is impossible this game come from
Prey: Its a flop in other plataforms, i think is possible
The Evil Within Bundle: The first came out from PS3/X360, with a good optimization TEW2 can bring to switch
Rage 2: Maybe they can port the first game, but its running at 30fps with great graphics in PS4/XONE, so, i think its no coming
Wolfenstein Youngblood/New Order: They dont have plans to bring to switch

    Well… i think it is
