Epic’s Fortnite Adds Gyro/Motion Controls To Nintendo Switch Version

Nintendo fans have been very pleased that Fortnite is now on the system but some were bemoaning the lack of gyro and motion control aiming that can be found in Splatoon 2. There’s cause to celebrate today though as Epic Games have added gyro/motion controls to the game in the latest update. Splatoon 2 fans should now feel right at home!

  • Gyro/motion controls have been added to the Nintendo Switch. Adjust these options in the Settings menu.

  1. That’s cool. I’d try it if it weren’t for Octopath coming out tomorrow. I’ve hated stick aiming on shooters ever since I played with Mouse and Gyro controls. Just feels so outdated. Honestly, any console that has a controller with gyro function should have it implemented for shooters.. or other miscellaneous things. I’m still shocked PS4 doesn’t have any shooter games that use it. I remember playing Horizon Zero Dawn after finishing BOTW, and how clunky it felt aiming the bow with just the stick. I really wish more devs would start using gyro. It’s so much better. In my opinion at least. I know motion controls have a bad reputation, but gyro is the only one I’ll defend. It’s actually helpful. And way more accurate.

  2. What the hell, are you kidding me ???? This is like the best game news in weeks, Bro seriously. Fuck yeah. What a company.

    I’m so horny right now.

  3. Now it’s Paladins turn to add gyro. I just started playing it on the PC and it’s much more my jam than Fortnite.
