As if I couldn’t care less about this game. This announcement says I can.
And yet you still clicked into this story and left a comment.
So you gotta buy the physical drums accessory, but they won’t make a physical game over here? If you want the game physically, just hope the Japanese version has English options for now
Japanese version will have a English language option patch in 9th of August…
And the physical drum is a Japan exclusive, bandai namco said they won’t release it outside Japan
You don’t have to buy the drums, the game can be played with Joy-Cons.
Ahh. I didn’t know that. I haven’t really been invested in news about that game so I haven’t done any research on it
Nooo! That is incredibly inconvinent. Just give me the game physically and in America and I’ll buy it. But not now, not here.
LOL
It’s completely understandable given the performance of the last western release of Taiko. You can import the physical version through Play-Asia if you want, it’ll have English language patch on 9th August.
Well if this is my only option 🙄🙄🙄
You can import the physical version through Play-Asia, it will have English with patch coming on 9th August.
That’s exciting then! My knowledge of Japanese is so little. While I would get my way through the game, I’d love to understand it in my own language.
Was gonna buy it digital like 90% of my switch library already sooooooo ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I think it’s kinda tempting to go digitally with the Switch since that’s more convenient when using it undocked. But, I love the little cartridges.
Was sooo tempted to buy it when I visited Bic Camera in Akihabara last week… but instead I got a set of steering wheels and the Pearl and Marina double pack Amiibo… both dirt cheap compared to Danish prices. :)
By the way… the drum accessory is really expensive, even in Japan.
Dang, well I guess it’s japanese version or nothing…
Japanese version will get English through patch on 9th August.
That’s great news 😉
That’s, more importantly, old news. If I am not mistaken, MyNNews reported on it several weeks ago. I do, however, agree, that it’s great to be able to have the game physically in English even when the game is not physically distributed in western countries.
Wow, this is going to be devastating to my wife. She was going to pass on importing because of a Western release… I guess she’s flipping back to importing.
Isn’t the point of these games to use the drum accessory? Why isn’t that coming here? I feel like playing with buttons just wouldn’t be as fun. At least the Switch has the motion controls but it’s still not the same as having the drum.
Of course having the drums is great, but if you’re not able to get a hold of them, be it for economic reasons or whatever else the reason might be, then the joycons function just as drumsticks and as the technology inside the Joycons is considerably better than the Wiimotes, you’re in for a hilarious ride. In theory you could use real drums or some toy drums from the local toystore and it would work.
I was planning on getting it digitally anyways, so I’m fine with this.
I’m just glad the game got a western release in general.
That’s a shame because I like Taiko no Tatsujin’s art.
