One of the most acclaimed portable games of the last 10 years is making its way to the Nintendo Switch system with HD visuals, enhanced gameplay and exclusive new content. The World Ends with You: Final Remix launches for Nintendo Switch on Oct. 12. Nintendo has released a new trailer for the game.
Complete the mission…or face erasure. That’s all Neku knows after regaining consciousness in the middle of a busy intersection without his memories. Now he and his partner must fight to survive a life-or-death game in this twisted tale with more turns than the urban labyrinth of Tokyo they’re trapped in. This definitive version of SQUARE ENIX’s RPG classic brings the dark story to life on the Nintendo Switch system along with a new scenario and some new remixed music.
Vibrant themes of Japanese youth culture, food and fashion are seamlessly integrated into the gameplay and storyline. Players can join rhythmic battles using either Joy-Con controllers or the Nintendo Switch touch screen. In two-player co-op mode, players can battle Noise and challenge the Reapers’ Game together.

But will it have the Japan-only songs, and will the Japanese version have the English-only songs? I need Make or Break during gameplay!
You must click on the link above for the answers.
The Japan price is 3800 yen and in other countries is different
Placeholder probably?
As someone that owns this game on Nintendo DS, buy this game, it’s a very under-rated gem and deserves all the love in the world.
The World Ends With You: Final Remix is gonna be the second game from Nintendo and Square Enix to be shipped/sold one million copies both physically and digitally. I cannot wait to get this on October 12th!
Still on the fence about this game. $60 is a lot to pay for a game that can be had on mobile for way less even if it does include a new chapter
Consider it a remaster. And it’s a great game that’s worthy of having in your collection.
It’s the only title thus far making me want to buy a Switch.
I’ve played it before and I’m in no rush to play again but yes I agree it is a great game
I sure hope they sing in Japanese, It’s such a pleasant language.
Wait… do they sing? I still don’t know anything about this game; gonna have to check it out.
I missed this way back in the DS days, perhaps this time around I’ll indulge.
It’s well worth considering.
If the intention of adding these characters into Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance was to get people interested in The World Ends With You, they succeeded with me… 6 years later, though, because I wasn’t about to get the original version on DS.
Wait! 60 bucks!? Fffuck that! I’ll wait til it’s on sale for 20-30 bucks.
Considering it’s Square Enix/Nintendo, it’ll never drop that low. It’s well worth it, wait for some sort of B2Gsomething deal.
