Japan: Etrian Odyssey X For Nintendo 3DS Is Number One This Week

It is Wednesday so it is time to take a look at the Japanese video game sales charts from the team at Media Create. It’s been a busy week for the Nintendo 3DS this week as there’s been two top titles released for it and those are Etrian Odyssey X and also WarioWare Gold. The former was the best-selling software title this week. Here’s the Japanese software and hardware charts:

    1. That’s ALWAYS been the case for Nintendo. People buy Nintendo systems to play Nintendo games. If the games don’t look appealing like New Super Mario Bros U, Zombie U, Nintendo Land, then people won’t buy it. The Wii U sold off 1st party support, but guess what, so did the Wii! People wanted Wii Sports which is why they got a Wii (and why every company under the sun tried to make accessories for that particular game). They didn’t want Nintendo Land, so thus the Wii U and its few good games is why it didn’t sell well (same could be said with GameCube and its lack of a Mario game at launch)

  1. Friday the 13th: The Game is just now hitting Japan’s camp counselors!? Well better late than never. I wonder if that legal shit concerning the original movie is still holding more development on the game back or if they’ve been given the green-light to continue development. (Hopefully the latter.)
