      1. AND PS3 LOST 7 BILLION MANY TIMES MORE THAN PS1 AND 2 EVER EVER MADE SO ITS IRRELEVENT AS SONY HAVE NEVEMADE A PENNY FROM GAMING AS IT WAS AL WIPED AWAY WITH PS3 AND MANY OTHER DEAD SONY DEPARTMENTS

playstation and xbox are multi billion flops THAT IS A FACT

      2. And Sony doesn’t? The PSP had what, 5 iterations? The Vita had 3, the PS2 had 2, the PS1 had 3, and the PS3 had 6. The PS4 so far has 2 and I’m sure at least one more it’s on its way. Not to mention all the special editions Sony has released.

    1. If anyone should be going third-party, it’s Microsoft with its zero recent exclusives. Why even have a system if everything’s also on PC? To see how many people are willing to pay the $60 a year?

And before you ask, I have an Xbox and Xbox 360, which do have exclusives.

      1. Microsoft is literally the only one giving Sony any kind of competition in the console market.

If you count them out, all we have is PlayStation for a standard console and you can guarantee Nintendo isn’t going to take the traditional route anymore.

The fact that you can get games on PC isn’t going to change anything. It’s an entirely different market.

      2. I never owned a Xbox in my life but who gives a fuck about first or third party the only thing that counts is the overall library of amazing games and Nintendo hasn’t won that battle since the snes. (because they don’t have triple A third party).

Atleast Xbox has allot of triple A third party , I can’t speak for Xbox but since the PS1 I always have 40+ high rated solid Triple A games. Can’t say the same for my N64,Gamecube,WII,WII U and soon Switch in a couple of years. I buy Nintendo consoles for 5-10 games and a playstation for the other 40. Don’t get me wrong the N64 had some pure class games but ill struggle to make a bigger list than a top 10 , Gamecube did have a solid library but somehow allot of those games still felt superior on other consoles even though Gamecube did have the hardware. After that I got nothing to say history speaks for itself. The WII sold amazing but not because it had a top notch library.

    2. No they shouldn’t, and they never will. if they ever stopped making hardware (which won’t ever happen) they would completely leave the game industry altogether taking their IPs with them, meaning no more Mario or Zelda or Animal Crossing or any of their beloved franchises.

as their games are made with their hardware in mind, it’s unique so it allows them to do unique things with their games, and with the Switch’s success this is being elevated even more.

      1. YEah,but you are a fanboy so your opinion is pretty bias. “and they never will”

Like they never will bring a Mario game or Mario kart or a Zelda game to. smartphones, right ?

You sir are stupid. And yes they will one day, get used to it pikaboy

  3. So in other words … a lot of fools bought a lot of plastic and repackaged hardware and games, made a couple of people very rich.

  5. So it took Nintendo like three times the amount of devices as Sony, with what like a ten year or fifteen year or so head start to have more total devices sold? This makes Nintendo look bad lol. Maybe they shouldn’t have posted this so soon after Sony posted about 500 million PlayStations sold.
