This October, everyone’s favorite video game scaredy-cat Luigi is returning to a haunted mansion he hasn’t visited since 2001. In the Luigi’s Mansion game, a Nintendo 3DS remake of the spooky Nintendo GameCube game, Luigi must enter a sprawling mansion equipped with nothing but his trusty flashlight and Poltergust 3000, a vacuum-like contraption used to capture ghosts, find treasure and solve puzzles.
This is the first time the Nintendo GameCube classic can be played on the go. This updated version of the game includes the same classic adventure, but with some added features perfect for Nintendo’s popular portable systems. Using the bottom touch screen on the Nintendo 3DS family of systems, players can view the mansion map.
In the new Gallery Battle Mode, exclusive to the Nintendo 3DS version of the game, Luigi will have the ability to re-challenge boss ghosts that were defeated in the game.
Luigi’s Mansion will launch for the Nintendo 3DS family of systems at a suggested retail price of $39.99. For more information about the game, visit https://luigismansion.nintendo.com/.

Anyone find it strange how the last time Nintendo really talked about the 3DS was the, I think March, Direct where this was first announced?
I don’t ;)
Are you still on about that? Pretty obsessive.
Pretty defensive. I was making a joke that I haven’t for months. I’m also loving being proven right time and again.
What was proven right exactly?
3DS not having a lot of focus and being on its way out.
On it’s way out? We are still getting some games in 2019.
Yeah, but they aren’t focusing as much on it anymore. I think it’s pretty clear why.
Not as much, but it is still being supported through 2018.
Compared to how many new games announced for Switch? Exactly.
That doesn’t matter.
To show which one Nintendo is putting pretty much all of its big focus on, it kind of does.
Not really. Not now.
Then when? Lol
2019 at earliest.
There’s already been evidence since last year. Why do we have to wait for 2019?
3DS is still getting games in 2019.
Yeah, a drip feed compared to years past.
Doesn’t matter.
It’s the same thing as any living being. As they get closer to the end they slow down. All the signs are there. You’re in denial.
Denial about what? It is a fact that there are games in 2019. There certainly is denial here, but not from me.
Denying that’s it’s close to the end. I’ve never said there’s nothing coming. Only that it’s very noticeably less than years before which is in line with what happens when a system is close to the end.
How is it the end when the 3DS is still getting support?
Did you read what I said at all?
I did.
Also the fact that what is coming is mostly remakes, late localizations, and games that are confirmed to be the last in their series to be released for 3DS. Also staples like Pokémon and Yokai Watch moving to Switch.
They are still games.
And you’re a trolling brick wall that is unwilling to understand what is being said.
Just because I say the truth, doesn’t mean I’m a troll.
You’re ignoring all of my valid points. What’s happening to the 3DS is what’s happened to every system near the end. Breath of the Wild still being released on the Wii U didn’t mean anything for how close the end was.
Valid? The simple fact is that the 3DS is still good through 2018.
Whatever, if you can’t see the differences between how things are being done now I might as well stop here. Once again, brick wall.
I’m done here.
All I said were facts. We still have 2018 before it “dies”.
Sad it’s not on Switch, but I’m picking this up regardless. I sold my original copy years ago and never wanted to commit to spending a lot of money to get a new copy, so this is a good game for me
Really wish this game was on Switch.
Well it’s not, so be quiet. But, we could get Luigi’s Mansion 3 on Switch.
Cool cool……can we get an HD collection for switch though?
I am glad i can get both for 3ds though. Good 3d game
I loved Dark Moon but sadly never played the original. I’m definitely getting this.
Original is better. You’ll love it. The ghosts had much better art style than Dark Moon.
Even though I don’t really like Luigi, I must say his games are delightful. Although I would have prefered Luig’s Mansion on Switch.
I hope they make Luigi Mansion 3 on switch.
Reblogged this on Nitwit's World.
if only persona Q2 would come to switch too…
