Nintendo’s Gamescom 2018 presentation for the lengthy adventure Xenoblade Chronicles 2, and its expansion: Torna the Golden Country, has taken place today. During the presentation it was revealed that Elma who stars in Xenoblade Chronicles X will be added immediately as part of the paid Expansion Pass.
“Elma, the Full Metal Jaguar BLADE colonel from Xenoblade Chronicles X, has arrived in Xenoblade Chronicles 2 as part of the Expansion Pass! Starting now, you can face her in the Challenge Battle Mode.”
I read that as Smash Bros. first and I have no idea why.

To be fair, Smash Bros is hot right now so it is understandable.
Hope Xenoblade Chronicles X gets a sequel sometime in the near future.

We need ports of the first two Xenoblade games on the Switch. I know the Switch gets a bad rep for being port heavy, but those are some great games that deserve further recognition. Of course, X would require some modifications to work on one screen, but it would be worth it.
It’s funny how she looks way better here than in Xenoblade Chronicles X. I guess the same could be said about Shulk and Fiora, but they originated on the Wii, so it’s more understandable. In this case, it’s really more that the character art style in Xenoblade Chronicles X was so weird that seeing Elma realised as an Anime-ish character here is an immediate improvement.
