The official Nintendo of America YouTube channel has announced that the Onimusha franchise is heading to the Nintendo Switch next year. The game is Onimusha: Warlords which has been revamped for the platform. Those of you who are fans of the series will be pleased to know it is out in January, so very early next year. Have a watch below!
“Onimusha: Warlords arrives on Nintendo Switch on January 15, 2019 with a high-definition visual upgrade and features that will improve your sword-fighting, soul-absorbing adventure! Onimusha: Warlords is set in feudal Japan and tells the story of the samurai Samanosuke and ninja Kaede as they race to rescue Princess Yuki.”

I played the second and the third when I was a kid (people said the games were scary but it’s not) I love this game because the original creator was Kenji Inafune (the creator of Megaman) and also are very challenging

A resuscitation for the series then. Hopefully it will get support to create a new entry for the series. Viewtiful Joe, Power Stone and Godhand are not too far behind Capcom, do it.
I was always intrigued by this series when it was on PS2 due it’s supernatural elements but never actually played one. Perfect chance to try it out now although digital only in Europe is disappointing

Hd simply means higher resolution and clarity. Nothing to do with the graphics thats usually reserved for remakes and remasters with reworked textures and effects etc.
I was a big fan of the ONIMUSHA series on the PS2. I hope they do a better job with the graphics & add some new surprises as well. But this is a big step in the right direction for CAPCOM.
I also hope they bring POWER STONE, VIEWTIFUL JOE, DARKSTALKERS & SUPER PUZZLE FIGHTER are next!!!
