Famitsu recently chatted to Tomoya Asano and Masashi Takahashi from Square Enix, and Acquire’s Keisuke Miyauchi, to talk about Octopath Traveler, which is available on the Nintendo Switch. They explained that they couldn’t say anything concrete about the potential sequel, but they are discussing how they are going to go about it. Asano revealed, or rather hinted, that the Bravely Series isn’t finished and that “the one thing I want to convey is that the Bravely series is not a title of the past to us and to our company.” Finally, the Business Division will be looking to release games annually with development taking around 3-4 years.
Welcome home Square Enix, Konami is still being that stubborn relative.
F=Ma.
Unfortunately, I think Konami forgot the way home and just stayed at the casino :-\
If they release a bravely sequel I hope they do a collection first because I didn’t play either of them on 3ds.
Bravely Default would work on the Switch. I’d like to see the first two games come out on the Switch too.
Finally some good news. I want to know about the Eye of Fondair which was mentioned in Bravely Second and also the mystery person that appears in Fondair’s tomb after defeating the Kaiser.
They kind of hinted that the Bravely Series wasn’t ending with Second awhile back when they had some art showing what looked to be the silhouette of a Bravely fairy. This is just more wood to the fire that Bravely Third is most likely already in development.
Or at least pre-development.
Not to mention that Ringabel is on the moon talking with the leader of moon about the Sword of The Brave.
