Nintendo is still seeing success, with Mario Kart 8 at #5 on the top 20 best-selling games of August, and Super Mario Odyssey at #10. Monster Hunter World and God of War 4 in the top 10 for August sales while in the top 3 for best selling games of 2018 so far. I wonder what place BotW and Super Mario Odyssey would be in if digital sales had been counted.

And Fortnite made more money than all the games on the list combined because every preteen and teen in America is playing it.
You ever notice that NPD hasn’t mentioned the 3DS in hardware sales since January? I wonder why that could be… Fanboys keep yapping at how great it’s doing, citing Reggie Fils-Aime’s famous “it’s up in sales in America” yet NPD never corroborated his claims…
It could be up… But at this point, I think tracking the 3ds sales data is sort of irrelevant cos the console is technically at the end of its age.
But I don’t think it’s slowed down to the point where Nintendo will totally end support for it.
