USGamer recently posted a PAX West interview with Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night‘s Koji Igarashi, where they talked about the game. Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is currently slated for a 2019 release on multiple platforms, including the Nintendo Switch. According to Igarashi, that 2019 is a necessity. Here’s what he said about the game’s release date in full:
“2019 is the year. It’s definitely what we’re focusing on,” Igarashi confirms. “It’s very difficult for us to keep working for such a long production period, especially when using outsourced companies. Right now, we want to get [Bloodstained] out as soon as possible. Quality is still very important, but yes, 2019 is the year we need to release the game.
Miyamoto would be proud.
“A delayed game is eventually good, a rushed game is bad forever and a never being released game that just gets teased for years sucks”
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart
Finally, but I wouldn’t mind a end of year release
I was about to check if this was going to come out on Switch, and then I remembered what site I’m on.
On the other hand, since Aria of Sorrow is one of my all time favorite GBA games, I will be getting this.
This thing went from 2015/2016 to 2019 (allegedly).
I’m confident with the release in 2019. I hope this game will not end like KH3
I hope it’s good! I’ve backed this baby since the beginning wayyyy back when it was going to come to my Wii U. Now, it’ll come to my Switch! :)
You aren’t the only one, I also backed this game for the ps4, PC GOG, and vita version. Soon as they revealed the Switch and announced the WiiU was ending I was one of the first backers to ask the devs to scrap the WiiU version and make a Switch version. The moment they announced the Switch version I changed my vita version to he Switch backer version, so glad I did since the vita is now completely dead lol:D
How about the latter half of 2019, this game could use all the time it has left.
I’m glad they pushed it back again and didn’t just throw it out there like with what happened to Mighty No 9 and Yooka-Laylee. I was not impressed with their e3 showing at all.
Yooka-Laylee isn’t so bad but I understand why many people they didn’t like it
Mighty No 9 is bad indeed but the games made later by IntiCreates like Mighty Gunvolt Burst are good
Naah.. i hope no december 2019 ;(
Január 2019 sound good for me :D
In other news: “No kidding.”
I’m an original backer as well. Bloodstained was one of the few lights on Wii U back in E3 2015… and then it flickered out like the rest lol
And then in 2019 Bloodstained get delayed until 2021 jk.
