Nintendo has released a new update for the Switch’s firmware. This puts the firmware at version 6.0.1. This is the first update to release after the launch of the Nintendo Switch Online service. This update added “general system stability improvements”, which includes a few bug fixes. The controllers were not updated. The patch notes can be seen down below.
- General system stability improvements to enhance the user’s experience, including:
- Resolved an issue where internet connection test does not display correct results for download and upload speed
- Resolved an issue where some licensed controllers’ motion controls such as tilt function respond incorrectly

Simple solution don’t mod your switch then! that’s what the wii u , wii psp and classic mini consoles are for.
As somebody who has a modded PSP and Switch, those are fine to mod as long as you use them responsibly. I only use it for retro emulation and other ports. All consoles are for modding. Although I do buy my switch games because it’s easier and more fair then piracy.

I feel like some anti-hacking stuff has also been added under the radar.
I heard this also combats the NES Online hacking people have been doing. But I haven’t seen any actual evidence of it. I honestly wish Nintendo could send out an update that bricks everyone’s Switch who is hacking in any way. Screw those people. It’s even worse when they use it to cheat in online games, or play pirated games. So scummy. Makes me wonder how people end up being that selfish and stupid.

Yeah Nintendo should definitely brick the system of those who just hack their switch so they can play Pokemon randomizer. Doesn’t matter if they actually bought the game or not. If you hacked your switch you’re a monster.
How about just banning the pronew who cheat (no reason to brick it) and how about blocking pirated games?

I hacked all my units… I have got 60 boxes 3ds games (so I’m not including downloads) that I actually bought. 60 games!!
Dude, I sure support Nintendo A LOT! I just like using Homebrew and playing fan made Pokemon roms. I don’t get why I deserve a defect 3ds wie the update airs.

I wouldn’t say brick anyone that hacks in any way. Not all hackers are scummy, after all.
