Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and Epic Games today announced Fortnite: Deep Freeze Bundle, a special retail version for the wildly popular action building game, Fortnite Battle Royale. Through the worldwide retail distribution partnership, Fortnite: Deep Freeze Bundle will be available for Nintendo Switch™, PlayStation®4, PlayStation®4 Pro, and the Xbox One family of devices including the Xbox One X beginning 16th November 2018 with a MSRP of £24.99. Players can also purchase and download the Fortnite: Deep Freeze Bundle digitally through the in-game store and first-party digital marketplaces.

The Fortnite: Deep Freeze Bundle will include the Fortnite Battle Royale game, and premium content, including the Frostbite Outfit, Cold Front Glider, Chill-Axe Pickaxe, Freezing Point Back Bling, and 1,000 V-Bucks, which can be used to purchase in-game items, such as outfits and the Premium Battle Pass. In Fortnite Battle Royale, players squad up and compete to be the last one standing in 100-player PvP, where they’ll build cover, battle opponents, and survive the longest to earn their victory.

  1. So does the “survival mode” in this game even exist any more, or has it been completely eclipsed by the Royale Mode? I was originally interested in Fortnite way back when they announced the PS4 retail copy, which I guess now is a collectors item, except for the fact that they required you to be online to play, even when playing solo (which for the survival mode, was a supported option), keeping in mind this was still back before the game became F2P. I don’t give 2 shits about the PVP aspect, I would however for the original survival/building mode, so if this is something a kin to the early retail versions of Minecraft on the 360, I would be potentially interested in this.

    1. I thought I was the only one. I saw the E3 trailer back in like 2014 and was intrigued by the concept.

    2. It does exist, I still have “save the world” mode installed on my PS4. I haven’t played it in ages, simply because we were burned by Epic, but it is still available on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.

  2. Every time I hear the word ‘freeze’ I’m reminded of “F-f-f-freezinate” by a certain Heropon.
