Kotaku took a risk with its review copy of Luigi’s Mansion on the Nintendo 3DS and revealed the name of Luigi’s partner in co-op mode. The name is Gooigi and he’s rather green and spooky. Luigi’s Mansion on the Nintendo 3DS is available now in North America and will be released in Europe next Friday. Our review should be up soonish.

Headlines like “Kotaku reveals” are a bit weird if everyone can buy the game already and see for themselves.
If only there was extra content added to the game where Gooigi basically turns into a SA-X type villain.
But we already knew that. In fact, I’ve had to play as Gooigi when doing co-op. Why are we only hearing about this now?

If Nintendo made Luigi’s Mansion 3 immediately we could had been reading about a new game right about now. But they can make Mario Parties and Mario Tennis games immediately.
