Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Has Sold 1.53 Million Copies

The engrossing Xenoblade Chronicles 2 for the Nintendo Switch is now Monolith Soft’s biggest-selling video game to date as it has shifted an impressive 1.53 million copies. Reset Era member Casiopao believes that the game’s continuous support with free update and the Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Expansion Pass have proved to be the right decisions by Nintendo and have kept players coming back.

  1. My uncle who works at Nintendo told me that Rex and Pyra are in Smash Ultimate.

Okay let’s talk about leakers. Vergeben has appeared in the battlefield and gave a bad news to Golden sun fans and he claims that the Grinch leak is only fabricated (If I wrote correctly).

Wow throw a bomb in the last hours.

Anyway time left for the Direct 16 hours and 20 minutes

    1. It’s a port of the Wii U smash with all the dlc fighters and some new maps made by bandai,
Not sure we will get new Xenoblade stuff, that’s gonna be for next smash in 5 years when Switch U comes out.

  2. Man, this game is amazing.

Now that you mention reset era i want to know if it’s true that zhugeex is an admin there.

    1. They deserve more sales once they get rid of the atrocious combat system. If it’s anything like XBX have fun being hit by invisible moves while you’re like 2km away from your enemies when you’re running away. Either go turn based or actual good real time combat. This half baked cheap cooldown rotation based MMO combat with unavoidable attacks that kids these days settle with because they don’t know any better is downright pathetic. It’s not about skill, just grind enough and have good items and you’ll win automatically.
NieR Automata crushes this game in terms of sales and nobody even knew about the prequel so you can consider this new IP.

      1. sounds to me like you’re just bad at xenoblade chronicles and you’re pissed off you couldn’t make it past the first chapter. Xenoblade chronicles is a really good hardcore JRPG. Nier automata is entirely different so why even bother comparing?
Just to put your argument into perspective i’ll also compare two games that are totally different: Tales of vesperia is better than final fantasy xv. see, it doesn’t make sense to compare.

  3. Very poor sales compared how other companies sell per game. No wonder 3 party doesn’t bother with serious games that cost develop money and big risks. Only a million, square would be gone if they only made Final fantasy with those numbers.

This proves that the RPG consumers are somewhere else … Pc or PS4.

Would also sell more if they actually fotllow their promises and improved performance after the DLC was released.
Instead we know now they are liars and just release separate game they called dlc with all the performance tweaks.
And off course nobody cares anymore since you lost consumer loyalty.

How stupid are these people really ? How stupid is Nintendo for keep creating this weak hardware that can’t run anything but a Mario game.

It looks old man, admit it for once, you know it, we know it. Time to call out this bs.
If Monolith was not from Nintendo and independent, you can count on it they would never release on Nintendo but Xbox and PS4 instead since that doesn’t limit their vision.

Xenolbade 2 on 1080P 60 FSP with HDR would look stunning on PS4, you know it, don’t deny it.

These devs must be crying when they first saw the Switch specs … oh noooo another 5 years of Wii garbage

    loooooooooool 😂

    1. Obviously a troll comment, but he isn’t going to get anyone to be pissed at him so eh, I’ll dice this up real quick and we can move on.

“Very poor sales compared how other companies sell per game.”

Who exactly are you comparing to? Those other second party developers that make JRPG’s to be console exclusives? Every….single…. one I suppose.

“Only a million, square would be gone if they only made Final fantasy with those numbers.”

They also dump three times the dev cost’s into one of their games these days, which is why they’ve had to resort to “Final Fantasy XII: Lightning’s autobiographical book tour” and constant never ending ports and rereleases of their classic games to keep it going.

“This proves that the RPG consumers are somewhere else … Pc or PS4.”

…….. What? There’s just no way this makes any kind of sense. For a start, both of those platforms are older, so even if they were 100% equal with the Switch in sales over the same period, PC and PS4 would still have larger install bases, making it impossible to measure sales straight across this way. Even then, there’s virtually nobody producing these kinds of games anymore. What JRPG are you going to use to measure sales against on the other platforms? YS?

“And off course nobody cares anymore since you lost consumer loyalty.”
Has anyone……anywhere seen posts about customers pissed at Monolith Soft?

“How stupid are these people really ? How stupid is Nintendo for keep creating this weak hardware that can’t run anything but a Mario game.”

You’re hard pressed to find any console generation that was one by the machine with the most powerful hardware, and Nintendo is making money hand over fist, so…… more intelligent than you it would seem?

“If Monolith was not from Nintendo and independent, you can count on it they would never release on Nintendo but Xbox and PS4 instead since that doesn’t limit their vision.”

Their vision of unemployment? Because they almost assuredly wouldn’t exist at all if they weren’t bought by Nintendo?

“Xenolbade 2 on 1080P 60 FSP with HDR would look stunning on PS4, you know it, don’t deny it.”

And nobody would care. It isn’t a game who uses graphics as its basis of appeal. How many JRPG fans do you know who get hung up on framerates?

“These devs must be crying when they first saw the Switch specs … oh noooo another 5 years of Wii garbage”

You should probably find a new hobby. You’re clearly more interested in video processing than game design.

      1. Don’t give this guy your time. I hate listening to fans with no industry knowledge vomit garbage as fact. You just have to ignore them and they’ll post for attention elsewhere.

  4. Is this actually the first Xenoblade game to sell more than a million units? Can’t find any accurate sales data on the franchise. Anyway 1.5 million isn’t too bad for a Xenoblade game, especially after just over a year. I think the previous games all dabbled around somewhere near the million mark. I still don’t quite know how they can make a profit with just 1.5 million sales of a game of this scale, but then again I also think that Xenoblade Chronicles 2 was cheaper to produce than the previous to games, so maybe it works out?
