  1. This can only end in disaster. Let me guess, no Misty? Ash’s Squirttle still doesn’t evolve? Might as well change Ash’s name while you’re at it. I hate this IP.

    1. When I found out Ash was very close to winning the Sinnoh Pokemon League Tournament but lost because some little shit had two legendary Pokemon in his team (the movies established that capturing Legendary Pokemon within their universe was BAD for the world) so they could have an excuse for why Ash lost (YET AGAIN!!!), I lost interest in the anime. I don’t want to follow the same character over & over if he’s always gonna end up losing at the end of every damn season when he gets close because his damn opponent pulled an easy win over Ash out of their ass.

        1. As I said below, the problem is they treat Ash as the mascot of the Pokemon anime. This ultimately ends up being the issue with mascots for franchises or companies as they don’t want to swap them out for a different mascot at least every couple of years. (Mario needs to give up the reigns as Nintendo’s mascot & let Link take over for a couple of years.)

        1. There are ways to continue the show even if Ash does win a Pokemon League. Like creating a new character and let Ash tag along with that character for a few seasons as he slowly turns into a side character, passing the torch to the new kid. Ash could basically become Brock (minus the womanizing part.) Then there is the fact even masters can still learn new things. Hell! Ash could even decide that even though he’s finally a Pokemon Master, he still wants to compete in other Pokemon Leagues of other regions, revealing there is a master rank tournament for Pokemon Masters to battle other masters of whichever region he’s in. And as the games have shown, the Gym Leaders do have stronger Pokemon so Pokemon Masters would basically take on a Gym Leader with their best Pokemon.

The problem is they treat Ash as the mascot of the anime so they don’t want to get rid of him. Which is stupid because it’s called Pokemon, not Ash’s Pokemon Adventures.

  2. I’m pretty hyped for this, it was my favourite movie bar Power of One as a kid, and I still think it has a tonne of rewatch value even by today’s standards. I’m pretty sure it’ll just be a remake, which is still really cool since the old one looks like it was made on a potato by comparison to, say, the Sun and Moon season and Origins. I hope it’s on Netflix because my broke ass wants to support it as much as I can!
