Tekken 7 Director Says Game Could Come To Nintendo Switch If The Demand Is There

Tekken series producer and director Katsuhiro Harada has yet to commit to the Nintendo Switch, but he says if the demand is there for Tekken 7 then it would be considered. It would be a tricky process, but if fans want the game on the platform they need to make their voices heard.

On the potential of a Switch release of Tekken 7, that is dependent on the demand from fans so let them know if you’re interested in seeing that happen.

  1. I would buy tekken 7 if it comes on the Nintendo Switch. I would love to play tekken 7 on the go. Please contact the director of tekken 7 so we can have tekken 7 for the Nintendo Switch in 2019 hopefully.

  3. I’m pretty curious how Mortal Kombat 11 fares on the Switch compared to the other ones. Considering we don’t have Soul Calibur VI or Tekken 7 which are some more demanding fighters, it begs the question how they managed to get away with that game. Surely, they didn’t drop it to 30 fps cause that would really suck.

  4. Tekken 7 on Switch! Absolutely. I’d love it. You don’t think twice to say yes to such a generous offer. It will be awesome if more fans voice their interest.

  5. Bullshit!! They well know TEKKEN & the SOUL CALIBER series are wanted for the SWITCH. Just look at all the fighting games already here:
    *Super Smash Bros Ultimate
    *DBZ Fighter Z
    *DBZ XENOVERSE 2
    *Blade Strangers
    *POKKEN TOURNAMENT
    *POCKET FIGHTER
    *STREET FIGHTER COLLECTION
    *SNK HEROINES
    *NEO GEO’S KOF SERIES 94, 95, 96, 97, 98, 99, 2000 & 2001
    *Brwalout (broken Ripoff, lol)
    *BRAWL-A-HALLA (extremely broken Ripoff!! Lmbo)

…with MK11 debuting in 2019?!! Dawg, WE AIN’T HURTING FOR FIGHTERS!!! So the question is Do you wanna make $ for TEKKEN & SOUL CAL?

    1. Let’s make a more concrete list:

      USF2 The Final Challengers
      Pokken Tournament Deluxe
      Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2
      Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection
      SNK Heroines Tag Team Frenzy
      Skullgirls 2nd Encore
      Dragon Ball Fighterz
      Blade Strangers
      Garou: Mark of the Wolves
      KoF 94-2001
      The Last Blade
      Samurai Shodown
      BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle
      Guilty Gear
Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus
      Super Smash Bros Ultimate

      In 2019 we’ll have:

      BlazBlue Central Fiction Special Edition
      Blade Arcus Rebellion from Shining
      Samurai Shodown
Mortal Kombat 11 (the most demanding of the bunch)
      Maybe a KoF XIV port

So many fighters already, and my favorite (MK) already confirmed. I won’t beg for port of any of those, and I agree with you.

    1. I’d say Tekken 7 is probably coming now though. The other times Bandai Namco have asked us to show that there is demand, with Dragon Ball FrighterZ and Sword Art Online, they’ve been announced a bit later.

  6. I’d love for Harada to release a TEKKEN HD Collection of TEKKEN through TEKKEN 6 (excluding TEKKEN TAG TOURNAMENT 1 & 2) for current or next gen consoles.

  7. Nope. Absolutely no thanks.

I’m a huge Tekken 7 fan, and a huge Switch fan, and they are a terrible fit for each other. The PS4 is a curse on the scene for *not being powerful enough* as it is, making certain combos work on PC that don’t work on PS4. Making the jump to Switch is just suicide.
