Video: Yoshi’s Crafted World Story Trailer

Nintendo has released a brand new trailer for Yoshi’s Crafted World. The trailer focuses on the game’s story, and it also reveals that the game will be releasing exclusively on the Nintendo Switch on March 29th. The game’s story is simple. According to the video description, “it all started when Kamek and Baby Bowser set out to steal a gem-set stone. Legend has it that this fabled artifact can grant the bearer their wildest dreams! But when the artifact’s gems are sent flying, it falls upon Yoshi and friends to find them”. Here’s the trailer:

  1. I guess getting some of the good stuff out of the way before the direct, makes sense since we already have seen plenty of gameplay in november from nintendo treehouse, and also the last direct in september can’t wait to play this game tho it seems like alot of fun

    1. It doesn’t really make sense since they will show (eventually) just first-half products. There will be not so much to show that we don’t already know, I suppose. Anyway this trailer is somewhat weak (teaser?), probably they will show actual gameplay with the Direct.

  2. Imminent Nintendo Direct or not, this game was delayed and improved upon for quite an extensive amount of time…

It makes sense for Nintendo to want to get the info out as soon as possible, while also not having it get overshadowed by new announcements during the Direct itself.

      1. A point fair to ponder, but unlikely.
It had no title, and went through substantial change between the original E3 demo and now.

Besides, this game has a specific market that it will reach wether there are other game releasing sideways or not, so there is no reason to adjust the timing…

        1. I havent’s seen anything new about the game, but if you are willing to share new informations/trailers I’ll appreciate it.
Eventually it was supposed to be published along with Kirby, but do to the similarities (2D platforms) it has been moved on for a more diverse schedule.

  3. I’ll be buying this game because I love Yoshi, but…
that was a very dull trailer lol.
It ends so abruptly. They should’ve thrown in some gameplay clips instead of just one story scene.

  4. I’ll get it but not right away I liked woolly world but it got annoying very quick, I don’t mind Yoshi but his noises drive me nuts lol

  5. Regardless of the trailer (which as a reader I thought it’s ok). The game itself has a nice look to it. Hopefully Yoshi retains his fuzzyness during actual gameplay. Many games have the character all fuzzy during cutscenes but during gameplay they look smoother lol. Gonna have to rewatch the treehouse gameplay to see if he’s fuzzy. (Lol first world problems). Getting this regardless though 😅

  6. “Kamek and Baby bowser” wouldn’t be better? since our occidental reading is left to right( even in compositional reading of pictures and stuff)?

  7. That looks like the Super Happy Tree from Yoshi’s Story. Maybe they should have change the gem-set stones more, so that it looks more original. Of course, Yoshi games have never had a deep story, so the story doesn’t bother me. I think I will buy it after a year has passed.
