    1. I’m excited of that game too! Excellent news! These timeless classics continue to deliver an enjoyable gaming experience despite how many times they’ve been beaten. I’m glad they’re coming to Switch. Neverwinter Nights had an improved edition. It featured advanced graphical options and 1080p, 4k support. Thanks Beamdog, Skybound Games and Nintendo!

    1. I remember the Dark Alliance games. They were fine. Great for co-op. Decent Diablo clones, but don’t hold a candle to the games liusted above when it comes to depth.

      1. By no means do they match depth. It would be for the very reason you mention: co-op. Got a brother who needs it to be “simple” for his taste.

I did not get the chance to try these out until years later. Looking forward to these.

  1. Everytime I see the name Baldur’s Gate, I think of The Lost Vikings that I played on the SNES as a child with one of my cousins & then I realize I’d rather see that on Switch. Sure we couldn’t get past the fucking spaceship stage because we were dumb kids that sucked at puzzle games (lol) but the game stuck with me all these years in spite of that.

HURRY THE FUCK UP WITH SNES GAMES, DAMN IT!!! *shakes fist at sky* D:<

    1. Funny bit of Trivia, Lost Vikings is one of Blizzard’s first game. As in, the studio behind Diablo, Warcraft, Starcraft, Overwatch, and World of Warcraft.

  2. it is ridiculous how Nintendo isn’t really doing anything right now. 2017 it was like “our goal is to release something cool and new every month”.
2019 is more like “something every 6 months should be enough, play indies if you don’t like that”

I’m wondering what all the studios are doing all the time? Zelda was already finished for a long time ahead of its Switch release, Mario’s Odyssey was ready when the Switch launched and got delayed for the XMas business, Retro should have been working on something until now and then there are a zillion other studios we haven’t heard from. And all we get is Yoshi’s Crafted World with a delay of several months.

But then again, I’m totally into Everspace (so good!), Okami (A zelda fix in Zelda-less times) and Celeste (yes!) and there are a bunch of indies I still wanna play. It’s just puzzling me how this can happen? It’s really like in 2017 NIntendo was like “WE NEED TO DO EVERYTHING TO GET CUSTOMERS” and now they’re more like “WE HAVE CUSTOMERS. LET’S CHILL.”
Right now it really feels like even the WiiU had a more constant flow of software, an dit has already been a disaster back then. But the WiiU didn’t have as many good indies and remakes.

      1. I still have yet to get:

        -Super Mario Odyssey
        – Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
        – Octopath Traveler
        – Bayonetta 2
        – Super Smash Bros Ultimate
        – Fire Emblem Heroes

Also, there’s some indies and third party titles on my wish list too.

And that’s just Switch. Several PS4 titles I have to get to and my Steam wish list is a nightmare… Gaming is expensive. *cry*

    1. But in many ways the Baldur’s Gate games are considerable better than any DIablo game. Narratively speaking at the very least. The depth of the story, and the branching narrative, make the game something special with more in common with Mass Effect and Dragon Age (Both made by many of the same developers) than with Diablo.
