A free update to Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker is now available for download on Nintendo Switch. This update adds two-player co-op to all the courses in the puzzle game, allowing you to recruit a friend to take control of a second Toad as you both explore simultaneously. Meanwhile, on March 14, new paid DLC arrives that adds 18 new challenges to the game, including five new courses and new Shiny Crowns, which can be obtained in each course. New players can get Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker together with the updates and all the new Special Episode content in a digital bundle available for purchase on Nintendo eShop. Players who purchase the bundle or the Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker – Special Episode DLC will receive early access to one of the courses in Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker – Special Episode, with the remainder of the courses launching on March 14.

  1. This game didn’t sell great on Wii U and nether does it do on Switch.

Other companies like EA would already dumped this title years ago, yet Nintendo Keeps strong and don’t give up.

That’s kinda cool and increase the quality of the brand. You can always count on Nintendo in the future.

It’s true and if you disagree, maybe visit a therapist.

    1. Come on. It’s not going to be that bad now that it’s on Switch. Plus, it will come with a two-player co-op. Maybe there’s going to be huge difference. The Switch might make it better than its Wii U and 3DS version.

    2. It’s actually sold close to a million copies on Switch in half a year. It sold about the same on Wii u so I’d say it’s sold pretty well for a smaller type of game.

  2. I can’t help but feel that they could have just waited until now to release the game with the proper two player mode and new levels. When it came out last year it only had about 5 new levels and that was all that was added.
