The latest sales figures have come in from the United States courtesy of the NPD Group for the month of January 2019. It was a good month for the Nintendo Switch despite two big titles, Kingdom Hearts 3 and Resident Evil 2 Remake, skipping the platform. Nintendo’s latest system was the best-selling. Here’s the best-sellers in the United States during January:
“Nintendo Switch was the best-selling hardware platform of January 2019. Both in dollar and unit sales,” NPD analyst Mat Piscatella said. “Switch was the only console platform to show year-on-year sales growth.”
But the Switch couldn’t buoy the entire market. Sales were still down overall — although that doesn’t necessarily mean they were disappointing. This is part of the naturally ebb-and-flow of hardware trends.

Wind waker
I second this.
For me, The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker was one of those games that made playing in GameCube and Wii U so much fun. It wasn’t a surprise why the game managed to won many players.
Bring in Skyward Sword and Twilight Princess as well.

– Isn’t it supposed to be 2019? If it isn’t my bad.
Silly Venture Beat! Though to be fair I should have checked when I added it :)
Like Neph above, I also want to point out the Kingdom Hearts III typo; it says II instead of III.
OMG, what now ?
Silly Venture Beat! Though to be fair, I should have checked when I added it :)
