Gematsu: Nintendo Switch Version Of Ori Blind Forest Looks Set To Be Published By THQ Nordic

There’s been plenty more reports in the last few days regarding a partnership between Nintendo and the Xbox team. The Redmond company is expected to bring Xbox Games Pass and their streaming service X Cloud to the Nintendo Switch this year. One of the first games that will be coming to the Nintendo Switch from the Xbox team is the gorgeous Ori and the Blind Forest. Gematsu has learnt that at least one wholesale database in the UK has THQ Nordic listed with publishing duties. The site notes that THQ Nordic has worked with Microsoft in the past to publish PC titles on Steam.

    1. Well sort of. It was just THQ at the time and was really a completely different company. When they went bust Nordic Games bought the one remaining THQ studio and used the name, which has a bigger standing in the video game world. But it’s interesting how that has come around again.

  1. That’s cool!

The game development company behind Kingdom Come: Deliverance, Warhorse Studios, was also acquired by THQ Nordic.

Back in 2018, it also adopted Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning.

I hope it succeeds in bringing Ori Blind Forest to the Switch.

    It would be epic!

Give us the sequel for Amalur as well!

  2. I wouldn’t mind seeing ReCore and Sunset Overdrive being ported, those games would sell like crazy on the Switch day one.

  3. I am shocked at the fact that Ori is coming to the Switch. Happy, but shocked.
Yet another game I’ll no longer be playing through Steam.
Now, how about that Rare Replay?
